the language used is very polite. you might want to drop all the -PO's when talking to peers or children.
it has a nice brief history of the islands.
I read through the whole book in one setting. its easy to go back and find phrases and words when needed.

Review: This is more like a handbook of useful phrases. For a beginner this is a great start. It by no means will teach you tagalog but you will be able to understand and use common speech. Good entry level book.
