Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Can't wait to read about all the records Review: My daughter wanted to buy this book from Scholastic Books from her school but it was at a slightly higher price, and so I was happy to find it here at a cheaper price. It is a 287 page book, with glossy pages that have several photos on almost every page. For example page 184 is Language and Literature, and has such records as longest running comic, best selling cookbook, all time best selling book, longest poem, most common language....On that page there are 11 record catagories discussed and two photos. PRetty much the same pattern throughout the entire book. Their "chapters" are titled Human Beings, Natural World, Modern World, Material world, Feats of engineering, Science and Technology, Art and media, Music and entertainment and Sports. There are then subcategories for each chapter. It looks like a fun and easy read and although my 9 year old hasn't seen it yet, I know she will enjoy reading it and relaying record information to us. The cover is quite eyecatching and it is a nice, sturdy book. No regrets here on the purchase.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Guinness World Records 2005 Review: This book is a wonderful all-color rendition which has important
factual information on the tallest man, the tripling of the
population in the past half century and the spectacular
Olympus Mons on the Marsian surface- just to mention a few of the many features contained. The book is perfect for
student projects in science and the arts. It well worth the
price charged.
