Rating: 5 stars
Summary: "How To Read Slowly" Retrains Your Brain
Review: James W. Sire has hit the nail on the head. This book revives our focus on what it is to truly think things through, particularly what we read. Whether it is Scripture or other books, James breaks down concise process to "renewing your mind" in the way you process information.

If you have had difficulty reading or comprehending what you read, this book is for you. James has worked this process through and made it easily understood and easily practiced. We, as a nation need to train ourselves and our children to think and reason beyond the computerized world in which we live. We have been numbed by the multi-media lives we live; the result is that we are incapacitated from thinking "deeply" and processing emotions in a rational way.

If you enjoy this book and want to move a little further in this subject, read "Habits of the Mind" also by J.W. Sire or "Love God With All Your Mind" by J.P. Moreland. You will not be disappointed!
