Rating: Summary: Worth it Review: It is a well written book, very easy to follow and the software is a nice touch. It is full of ideas I had not considered and has saved me so much time and money already. I think it is a great buy for somone that has no time outside of full time work and classes, I bought mine used and it is in perfect condition.
Rating: Summary: Great Planner, Organizer and Keepsake Review: This book was small enough to carry in my purse and had all the information I needed as a bride-to-be. I loved that it asked all the questions I had been asking myself...but that I would forget the second I walked in the door of the florist or the bakery! I just went right down the list and, voila! I had all the information at my fingertips! The software was great, too! It organized my invite list for me and then when the replies came, all I had to do was click on the accept or decline and I had a list that I could use to make my seating charts. And the software helped me do that, too! I could keep track of who sent me what gift, who I had written thank you notes to, and on and on. If you are anything like me, you just write things down on whatever is handy and end up with folders full of random papers... well, with this, I didn't have to do that anymore. I always carried my book, and if I happened to write something on a scrap of paper, I just transferred it to my book later. I also plan on keeping the book as a memento of my wedding...I am sentimental, so I like to be able to look back over all the details, and this is a nice way to be able to do that.

Rating: Summary: Great Planner, Organizer and Keepsake Review: This is a wonderful planner and is full of helpful information, suggestions and advice. Filled with great pictures too. The only negative would be the size. A little too big and bulky to carry around. BUT I made great use of it and am keeping it as a record and memento of the fabulous time I had planning my wedding.
Rating: Summary: Ideal for shotgun weddings Review: With no time to waste, my girl and I had to plan our wedding in a flash.
We needed a book that could help us with invitations, thank-you notes, and how to find a DJ, photographer, and a wedding gown that would disguise the astonishing weight gain of my seven-month-pregnant fiancé. Elizabeth and Alex Lluch's book, "Easy Wedding Planner", was exactly what we were looking for. The book was filled with helpful tips for people who know nothing about wedding planning.
The first thing chatchi learned about wedding planning is that it's important to discuss our ideas with each other. Our first argument happened when we started talking about the type of ceremony we were going to have. chatchi has always dreamed of a KISS-themed wedding. My girl has always loved Motley Crue. We compromised and came up with some bitchin' ideas for our Van Halen-themed wedding.
When it came time to figure out where to have the wedding, that's when things started to get ugly. You see, chatchi doesn't like all that churchy stuff, but my girl really wanted to get married in the House of the Lord. After a few compromises (have the church organist play "Jump" instead of "Ave Maria", allow tailgating in the parking lot before the ceremony), I agreed to get married in a church.
Things didn't get any easier with the reception. With Mac Jacobson's 14th Annual Memorial Bowling Tournament taking place at the local Pins n' Grins bowling alley, we were suddenly faced with the dilemma of where to have our reception. Do we fork out the cash to have it at that fancy Motel 6 down the road, or do we save a few bucks by having it in the park next to our trailer? Neither! chatchi has a few buddies at the Corner Pocket pool hall, and they were able to get me a sweet deal to rent the place out for a night. They have, like, ten pool tables and a juke box. Pretty plush, I know, but chatchi spares no expense for my girl.
chatchi and Mrs. chatchi highly recommend "Easy Wedding Planner". The book comes with a detailed monthly organizer that helps you make sure you're staying on track. I'm sure this would be helpful for most couples planning a wedding, but we only had two weeks to plan ours since the doc wanted my girl off her feet for the final month of her pregnancy.
After countless headaches, and even more cans of Coors Light, chatchi and my wife got everything planned in time. The wedding went off without a hitch (even though I was totally wasted) -- my wife looked stunning in her long, pink dress and cornrow hair extensions -- and the reception was awesome (even though I was totally wasted).
chatchi would definitely use this book again the next time I get married.
