Review: A very comprehensive book, with about 500 pages and tons of information. The definitions are a little short, but they get to the point and when more information is needed it can usually be found. After only a few minutes with the book, i found that everything is cross-referenced and easy to find. I had picked this up as an impulse buy, but don't regret it in the least. The articles (when they are detailed) are very unbiased (for example- an equal comparison between English and western riding styles... not a very common find.) This book is perfect for both the new rider and experienced horse owner.

Small photos and diagrams throughout make for an excellent, basic handbook on the horse.

Review: This is the best reference horse book i've ever seen. The detail is in every page. I would say this is the only horse reference book you would ever need. Worth Every Penny Spent!
