Summary: The Queen of Clean rules our household
Review: "Talking Dirty with the Queen of Clean" has become my bible. I had the chance to have the Queen of Clean come to my house for an Oprah segment,we were the stain family, and she was amazing. Her solutions to household cleaning is great. I have three small children who make big messes so the Queen of Clean's book is always nearby ready to help solve all my problems. Everyone that I have told about the book have been on there way to get one as soon as they look through it. The cleaning solutions are as suprising as they are useful. This is a must have book for everyone. I only wish I had had one earlier.

Summary: tremendous help
Review: Forget Martha. Forget Heloise. Forget the scary perfectionistic tomes on how to keep house. This is the book that has changed my life, cleaning-wise. If this book can't solve your worst cleaning problem, nothing will. I had tried an increasingly evil-sounding succession of expensive products to get the hard-water scum off my shower door. What finally worked? The vinegar-and-water solution in this book. I thought the grayish patches in my tub were there to stay until I followed the Queen of Clean's suggestion of... borax. I got months of burned-on food off my cooktop with the Queen's laughably simple scouring powder. Not only is my house cleaner than it ever has been, but I also threw out my toxic cleaning products, and I even feel better about myself: it turns out I wasn't a slob, I just wasn't using the right equipment to clean.

Summary: Thank You. Great Results with Simple Ideas
Review: I have to say, I am all for anything that will make housecleaning easier. This book did it for me.

Linda Cobbs enthusiasm comes across in her writing.
Her ideas are very easy and usually only require simple household items that are already on hand (used drier sheets, tinfoil, etc.)

I keep this book on my shelf as a refernce for those tough questions regarding cleaning a house (Crayon on the walls, rust stains in the sink and more). However, I have also taken some of her cleaning hints and used them in my spring cleaning and boy has it saved time. For example, she suggest you take a used drier sheet and wipe off the glass on your picture frames. I did this and it kept the dust away from my pictures. This also decreased my weekly dusting time.

What a wonderful book. Certianly it's not nighttime reading. However if you take the time to page through this book and look at some of her ideas, I believe you will be able to find suggestions that will help you save time and money as well.

Summary: This is my cleaning bible!
Review: I love this book! I just received it this past week and let me tell you I don't know what I did without it! I have always heard of the cleaning properties of baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice but never knew how to mix these concoctions to make a cleaning solution. The queen gives you those recipes, plus so much more! The tips that are provided in this book are wonderful and quick. I have already saved over $25.00 from NOT throwing things out because I used the tips in her book (2 shower curtains and a Rubbermaid dishrack were salvaged thanks to the queen). Plus, I was able to clean the bathroom in my bedroom to look so fabulous I couldn't believe it! Thanks to this book, I didn't have to regrout my bathtub, and the regimine was so simple! I got rid of so many cleaning solutions that I hated using anyway! Even though there are many things I would much rather do than clean house, this book has opened my eyes to short cuts and natural ways of cleaning. I don't mind getting my hands dirty if I don't have to use harsh abrasives (please note - there are a couple of mixes in the book that will encourage you to wear gloves and work in a well ventillated area, but only a couple and they are well worth it). I told a friend of mine about this book and she went out and purchased it; I showed my mom this book and she was impressed! I am so grateful that Ms. Cobb has shared her knowledge with us - my house looks so much better in a short amount of time! If you are a busy person like me... I highly recommend this book not only to get your house in gear but to save you time and money! Best book I ever bought!

Summary: nothing beats a good short cut
Review: I, like everyone else in the world who have to clean, love and need shortcuts to doing the dirty deed, and this book is a must for such as we. Whether you're a full time janitor or someone who's expecting guests over soon and your maid just kicked the bucket, this book can save a lot of time and heartache. It's got all kinds of helpful hints for use in cleaning different rooms of the house, and darn good ones too! And this Queen of Clean can save you bunches of bucks! You'll learn how you can use inexpensive items to do your cleaning with. I own a cleaning business and when I do professional cleaning, I use very expensive materials to clean peoples homes and businesses with , and believe me, it costs them as well. But the suggestions Linda C.Cobb uses in her book can keep you from having to use professional services, and it's easy to understand too!

Summary: Linda Cobb is help available for inveterate slobs like me
Review: If you read this book, you will find a way to tailor it to your own cleaning needs, good points and lacks. She has helped me turn the corner on my 44 year old bad habits by helping me attack the dirt her way. It is much easier to have a sense of control over your mess if you have knowledge of how to clean and what to clean. Thank you very much!

Summary: Absolute Genius!
Review: Linda Cobb is an absolute genius when it comes to cleaning, spot removal, helpful hints, etc. I haved tried several of her recommendations and have saved $$$ and a lot of valueable time!

I must tell everyone about one specific helpful hint that has completely changed the way I clean: "ACT NATURAL" the chemical free cleaning concept! I ordered these fantastic products from "euronetusa.com" as soon as I read about them and could not believe the results. I never thought it was possible to clean without chemicals (you just use water with these products!) but was able to get rid of nearly all of them! No more dangerous fumes around my family. It saves me money, time and energy and helps our environment...

Linda, you have really changed my life! Thank you...

Summary: My wife swears by this book!
Review: OK, I haven't read it myself, but I've heard enough from my wife to write a review (she keeps reading tips out loud to me)! She swears that this book has the answer to all life's problems (at least when it comes to cleaning). She sat down and read it cover to cover and keeps it handy as a "reference" book. It's filled with practical, simple "secrets" that really do work, like using vinegar and baking soda to unclog a drain. She says it's even better than Cobb's laundry book. The book will probably pay for itself after you try a few tips. Highly recommended!

Summary: IT IS POSSIBLE TO MOTIVATE CHILDREN TO HELP CLEAN
Review: Yes, it is possible to motivate even the laziest child (my own) to help with spring cleaning! We saw Linda Cobb on Oprah one day and then went out and bought her book. When we got home my 10 year old daughter wanted to purchase the cleaning supplies and get going. So, I struck while the iron was hot. For about ... I purchased all of the "staples" that Ms. Cobb recommended. Then my daughter went to work. She made a paste of baking soda, bleach and borax, wore rubber gloves and goggles and attacked the mold and mildew on the bathtub/shower tiles by gently brushing the paste on. We let it sit for one hour and rinsed it off with the shower. No scrubbing, no scraping the mold is gone! Next I made Linda's solution to clean screens, took the screens outside, applied it and hosed it off. Walla! You could see the dirt falling off almost by itself! This is the best, most affordable and efficient book on cleaning I have ever read. God Bless Linda Cobb!
