Rating: Summary: Great help! Review: I am not very familiar with everything that you need to do to plan a wedding and this book has so many helpful hints and tips on how to save money. There are many checklists, and lists of things you need to do to plan the perfect wedding........ and with this book that is exactly what my wedding will be.
Rating: Summary: Great Content! Review: I bought this before I saw the Ultimate Wedding Planner (same authors). I thought the format for the Ultimate Planner was much better (ring binder rather than spiral bound) so in order to compare the two I also bought the Ultimate Planner. I was disappointed that the Ultimate Planner did not have anything like the same amount of content as the Easy Planner & Keepsake, so I returned it. But as the Ultimate Planner format was so good, I removed the pages from my Easy Planner, trimmed and punched them and put them in a binder of my own. The content of the Easy Planner is superb, and I would recommend it to anyone. I would also suggest doing what I did and putting it in a ringbinder - it takes some time but it is worth it! Then it is much easier to add all the notes and paperwork which is accumulated during the organizing of a wedding, especially as the pockets/subject separators are nice but not nearly large enough. But overall an excellent planner. It would be wonderful if the authors could put this planner in the ringbound format for the next edition!
Rating: Summary: Easy Wedding Planner, Organizer and Keepsake Review: I got married July 1, 2000 and had a wonderful wedding and reception thanks to the helpful planning tools, information and photos in the Easy Wedding Planner, Organizer and Keepsake. I attempted to use three other popular planners before I found this one; the others paled in comparison! This lush book has plenty of pockets for contracts, business cards, swatches and other keepsakes a bride collects during the wedding planning process. The pictures gave me some great ideas and the worksheets kept my mother and me organized. We felt like we had our own personal wedding and event planner in this book.
Rating: Summary: A Great Christmas Gift! Review: I got this wedding planner right after I got engaged. I took it with me everywhere, from reception sites to the florist. The large pockets helped me keep everything organized. The checklist got me thinking about things I otherwise would have missed. As a result, I had a beautiful wedding. Almost two years later, it's fun to look back at all the planning. I even recently bought the same book for my sister to help plan her wedding!
Rating: Summary: A Great Christmas Gift! Review: I just turned 19 years old and this year I decided to get stuff that would be useful in my future! This book is so easy even for anyone! This book is worth your time and money! it has things like checklist and who pays for what and questions you have to ask vendors. what really made me feel Good was the poems on each and every folder they where just wonderful. An Idea. If you'r not sure about buying this Book check out your local Book store then see if you would use it or not then come back on here and get it cheaper or buy it there what ever you want.
Rating: Summary: Better planners out there then this one Review: I purchased this wedding planner after reading many customer reviews of this and other wedding planners and deciding this looked like the best one. After getting it there are things I felt it is lacking. First I don't like that each chapter covers two topics, it makes it hard to flip directly to a topic when you have to find the second half of the chapter to get to that information. Another thing this book lacks is explaining in greater detail some of the wedding aspects. It goes over the elements of each section very brefly and unlike other planners that give an overview each wedding aspect (ceremony, flowers, music, etc) and then go over in detail each indivdual part of that aspect. Lastly the vendor questions don't always seem to be relivant. After reviewing other planners I found many questions this book did not include that I found were important things to find out. There are a few positive things about this planner. The pictures are nice and do help to give you some ideas about what you would like to include in your wedding. The business card page in the front was also helpful so the cards did not get lost and lastly the vendor over page at the end of most chapters was nice to record your final selections and information with each vendor you pick. Overall I think this planner is worth glancing at in a book store or buying if you plan to buy another planner but is not good by itself. I also don't think it is really worth the $30 suggested retail, I found two other planners both with less then $20 suggested retail and were much more help.
Rating: Summary: Lovely presentation Review: The whole package is really well thought out and comprehensive. It has sections on the basics that you will need for your big day, from low key and initimate right through to giving really useful tips and work sheets for those going for the more sophisticated wedding. I like the fact that it comes as a folder so it can be kept as a keepsake long after you are wed! I personally did not think the content was hugely suprising, I think its biggest help is just ordering all your thoughts and helping you to get it all arranged in a methodically and stress free manner.
Rating: Summary: The only wedding guide you'll ever need. Review: This book has really helped me to put all of my thoughts together. Not only does it have room for vendor cards and little slots to put pictures of ideas in, it also has pages for you to write out your budget and check off every single detail you may need for your wedding. Each section has information on cost ranges for every part of planning as well as tips and questions to ask when you want the best quality for everything. There are even pictures of the ceremony and in what order everyone walks down the isle in!! The pictures in the flowers are very helpful as well, I don't really know the names of many flowers outside the common ones, so that section really helped me out too. It is a great book. I recommend this book/planner for any stressed out bride. The only thing that I would change, is that it needs to be a three ring binder style so that you can add larger pages to each section if you need to. Hope you enjoy it if you buy it!!
Rating: Summary: absolutely excellent! Review: This wedding planner is one of the best ones I've ever seen! It's everything it says it is, and much more. It has lots of checklists to keep you organized and on-track with your planning, tons of helpful tips and suggestions, enough pockets for every vendor you will use (also used as handy dividers), plastic sheets to hold business cards, and even a satin ribbon that serves as a bookmark! The pictures are absolutely lovely, and serve as helpful visual suggestions for ideas to use on your wedding. It even has a section that lists flowers and accompanying pictures so that you're more confident when going to a florist! They've thought of practically everything, and I would recommend this planner 100%!
