Review: This fascinating book is a look at many historical mysteries and misunderstandings, ranging from the Big Bang, through the "real" George Washington, and on to the death of Princess Diana. Along the way, conspiracies are debunked and misinformation is swept away. Each topic is given between two and ten pages, with many colorful pictures and informational sidebars being tossed in.

Overall, I found this to be a fascinating read. If you have any pet conspiracies, then this book will disappoint you. But, if you are interested in a clear-eyed, if extremely conventional, look at a group of historical mysteries, then this book is for you.
