Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A valuable tool Review: I purchased this book as a resource for a research project I was doing on the role that educators should play in assisting the childhood grieving process. I have volunteered for a couple of years as a group facilitator for children who have lost a parent or a sibling, and some of the greatest difficulties they encounter after their parent or sibling's death are surrounding their return to school and the insensitivity of their teachers and peers. Education on childhood grieving is generally not provided to teachers-in-training, so many of them simply do not know how to react when faced (as they inevitably will be at some point in their career) with a grieving student. This book is an excellent resource for educators and school administrators, and I strongly recommend that it be incorporated into standard teacher orientations in local schools.
