Rating: Summary: Great book Review: I am a chiropractic student and found this book to be quite helpful. I used this book as a reference in school. I found this book well-written and filled with important info. I also recommend the following which is also sold on amazon.com: Spinal Anatomy Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers (ISBN: 0971999600) by Patrick Leonardi This study guide helped my friends and I get excellent grades in our spinal anatomy class in our chiropractic college. This is because it showed us the type of questions our teacher asked on exams. My advice get the first book as a needed reference for school and get the second book if you want to pass spinal anatomy class with flying colors.
Rating: Summary: Index was helpful... Review: The book itself is only a listing of words that you may encounter in the field, not really any definition or reference to other places that would help more. But the index is worth its part. Some good references to injuries that you may see in the rehab field.

Rating: Summary: Words, not definitions Review: The use of the Stedman's word books, this being only one of many, is primarily for those in medical transcription and others (medical authors, editors, proofreaders, etc.) who need an authoritative source on correct spelling and terminology. This is the stated intent of these books, as is clearly spelled out in the foreword of all Stedman's books. This seems important for me to mention here, as at least one reviewer of this book seemed disappointed that there isn't more information. As a transcriptionist, I assure you that the several hundred pages of cross-referenced terms here are very, very useful in correct transcription of medical dictation. This section includes musculoskeletal terms and rehab terms, which are exactly its stated contents. As usual, Stedman's succeeds beautifully in providing an exhaustive collection of terms relating to the areas of interest presented in this book.
