Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Portable, for quick reading.
Review: It is what it is. It's small, it's cheap, it covers the UBS4/NA27 Greek vocabulary and it's not too hard on the eyes. It gives help for some of the verb forms for which beginning students have difficulty finding the entry.

Most entries for the words that have more than one translation into English don't give any help for deciding which translation to choose, except for occasional verse references. You can't use this dictionary for exegesis papers, but it's good for "quick" reading.

This separate binding is useful when reading a Greek-only NA27. The dictionary is bound in with most copies of the Greek-only UBS4 sold in the U.S.A. (but not available bound in with NA27).

Summary: Useful, but pricey . . .
Review: This is a nice supplement to Kurt Aland's Greek New Testament. People around the time of Jesus spoke Koine Greek, a popular version of the Classical tongue epitomized by Homer. Since it was the "lingua franca" of the Mediterranean (Latin wasn't prominent yet.), the teachings of Jesus and the writings of various Apostles were written down in that language. As a dictionary for use with a Greek New Testament, it is pretty comprehensive and very helpful. But, it would not be helpful in trying to translate, say, Thucydides. It will, however, be quite useful in studying the Christian scriptures in the original tongue.
