Rating: Summary: America's God and Country Review: This would be a great book for each and every library.
You have only to glance through this book to know how very much it shows how much our fore fathers believed in God and how they looked to Him for guidance, especially in the hard times such as the civil war. One quote from the book was: During the Civil War, President Lincoln overheard someone remark that he hoped "the Lord was on the Union's side." Lincoln gave a straightforward reply: "I am not at all concerned about that, for I know that the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord's side."
You can find comments on almost any subject. It's great as a resource book.

Rating: Summary: Excellent Reference for Quotes of Founding Fathers Review: While not exhaustive, this book is an excellent reference for reading what the founding fathers actually wrote and said! When you read their writings, there is no question left that they were thinking within the framework of Christianity and they could never have imagined this country with the current emphasis on separation of church and state. The book is organized by names of people, so if you want to know what Washington, Adams, Jefferson, etc. said, just look them up. It's the kind of things that are omitted from modern text books and history books. I also bought the CD rom version which lets you search by name, word, phrase, etc.
