Summary: My son wore this book out from use!!!
Review: I ordered this book from Amazon, because my sons had literally wore the spine off of this book...we had purchased the first book at a bookstore while on vacation and they absolutely loved it. It is has the perfect context for a 4-8 year old imagination with information in the form of statements that start with "I didn't know that...". Example, "I didn't know that sperm whales have the largest brains of any animal." I remember one time we sat down and read chapters of this book for 90 minutes straight...my oldest son was only 4 at the time and it kept his attention for that long and probably would have longer if mommy had not got tired.

If I could only choose one book to recommend buying for a younger child, I would recommend this book. My oldest son calls it his "big book of everything." I have a feeling that before my sons outgrow this book, I am going to end up having to purchase another copy to make up for this one being used so much.

I have two sons and they both have enjoyed this book tremendously. This is one of the few books that not only entertain my sons, but that I also find enjoyable to read with them.

Summary: Just what we were looking for!
Review: My six year old son asked for a book about wild animals and a book about snakes for Christmas. I found this book by chance in a local bookstore. It touches on a range of beasts and creatures including snakes, bugs, big cats, whales, dinosaurs, sharks, spiders, monkeys, and more. It is written in bigger print, filled with lot's of interesting information and facts, and has just as many great pictures. My son really enjoys this book. After opening his Christmas gifts, this is what he sat down with first, and continues to sit down with often. It has been a big hit. My husband and I have enjoyed reading it to our children, learning new facts along with them in an entertaining way. It is and excellent book and well worth purchasing.
