Rating: Summary: what I gained from this book as a student and author of poet Review: As a literture Student and Poetry Author. writing the for school on line magizine, as well as independent poetry contest. Working on several projects at the same time for my world novels class and creative writing class. Keeping a part time job and trying to have a home life is very hard when your at school four days a week from 8 am. to 9pm. This book has showed how I can organize my time better, and how to judge which things come first. I've had to ask myself a hard question, just how bad do I want to reach my goals. And was I willing to make some sacifices in my life to reach this goal. Once I had answered these questions the decision was easy. But if one is not serious about what ever their trying to do, if that person is not willing to make the sacefices to obtain it. Then they really dont want it nor need it or really care if they can save time and make their life a litle bit eaiser. This Author should be praised, and I hope she writes more on the subject.

Rating: Summary: Finally some real help! Review: Between juggling the schedules and workloads of twelve student employees, keeping my two kids on track, and managing a state-of-the-art computer lab, thinking about time management is the last thing I have time to do, but probably one of the most important. Ms. Reno's "Unofficial Guide" presented me with some quick and easy tips to cut down on the amount of time I've been spending on unimportant things, and has helped me set aside some of those precious minutes for the little enjoyments of life--like reading more books!

Rating: Summary: Not at all helpful. Totally useless Review: I have a family, work part-time, do charity work, try to squeeze in a few minutes for my wonderful friends. I don't have spare time aplenty. I thought this book would be helpful, but it wasn't. The ideas recommended were common sense, and worse the writing was wordy, dry and not at all engaging. I realize this book is nonfiction, but even nonfiction should offer interesting language, and words, and delightful anecdotes. This book had none of that. In my opinion this tome should have been called THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO WASTING TIME.
Rating: Summary: Really helpful! Review: I totally disagree with the previous reviewer. I'm a stockbroker and found many of the tips in this book useful. And what I really liked was the author's personal tone and experiences. I've loaned the book to several friends who have enjoyed it as well. DEFINITELY worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Excellent business info! Review: I'm a magazine publisher, a freelance writer, columnist, writer of thrillers, mother of five and grandmother of ten. I have my own business and I help my husband run his. You get the idea. There is always way too much on my plate. In fact, I can't see the plate. I say that I wish I could find time in a bottle. I'd buy cases. Alas, it's not going to happen. But, when a friend turned me on to this book on Time Management I decided it was TIME. I confess to reading it piecemeal--waiting in long lines while driving, waiting in the doctors office, even while soaking in the bathtub. It's hard to find TIME! As with many things there is much about managing our time that we already know--we just don't DO what we know. I found this book to be an inspiration. It gives a new slant to an old problem. Can you really better manage your time by TAKING more time for yourself? Well, since reading this book, it's working for me. If you're looking for a miracle to save you, then say your prayers, (another good idea) but if you want inspiration and a plan to help you attack this problem, Reno has found the plan and this book is inspiring in its straight forward, common sense, yet eloquent style. I'd like to thank the author for helping me find the way to the break I deserve.
