Review: As an occasional writer in the adult industry for the past seven years, I felt compelled to give a looksie at GET PAID FOR SEX. Let me say right of the bat, the book is not nearly as good as Ana Loria's more recent 1-2-3 BE A PORN STAR book, but it is also a much more ambitious effort. GET PAID FOR SEX tries to cover just about every possible way you could get paid as a worker in the adult industry. This was probably too big a job because the book suffers for lack of details. However, that being said, I still think it is a fairly admirable first attempt and I'm somewhat puzzled by all the vicious reviews below because they are terribly inaccurate. The book does not simply cover sperm banks, as so many people claim. (I suspect this is an effort by one or a few people who are threatened by the book's content.) Rather, it has an extensive section on how to be a tantric sex instructor, a small section on how to be a porn star, another small section on how to be a phone sex operator or dancer/escort/model, and final brief treatment on how to set up an internet sex site. The book is far from thorough and it is not going to make all your financial problems suddenly go away while providing you with easy sex. But I can see it being a useful resource for someone casually curious about what to do to pursue paid sex opportunities.

Review: I can reveal the secret of this book in one word, go to the yellow pages and get the secrets of making money in the sex business in the escort section. Nothing that goes on in escort services are illegal - so this is your answer. This little, totally skinny book should cost only five dollars. However the writer of this book came up with a brilliant marketing concept. Her title is awesome. Her concept that there are businesses out here that men can get paid for having sex is totally fascinating. However, let us be real, guys are paying to have sex. Only in the homosexual community will a guy get paid to have sex. However, for those who want to buy this waste-of-time of a publication for novelty purposes, do so. One thing I can say, this book is selling like hotcakes.

Review: I really enjoy GET PAID FOR SEX and I think Ana Loria has tapped into something that goes deep to the root of our sexuality. Of course, I understand a lot of folks are frightened by her honest account of paid sex opportunities... no wonder so many people have to criticize the book. But I, for one, say YOU GO, GIRL!

I wish it was a bit longer, but I can't complain because it gave me lots of advice and ideas and made me realize that I can enjoy my life without having to be afraid of the fact that I love sex and want to work in adult entertainment. I called some and found that most employers were ready to interview me on the spot. My one criticism is that I wish there was more discussion of the psychological ramifications of doing this kind of work. As for all these negative reviews, my guess is that we have some Far Right people who can't handle the content and want to disguise their real reason for condemning GET PAID FOR SEX. As usual, it's up to each of us to decide for ourselves. I don't trust the media or anyone.
