Summary: Easy Reading with Many Ideas
Review: I am a therapist who is divorced. I have been thinking of eventaully getting into a less stressful career such as a holistic practitioner. This book was lent to me by a friend and I have just finished it. It has given me so many easy and detailed directions on how to promote myself, I am excited and ready to get started now!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Easy to follow - even for me!
Review: I am not one to read but the small concise chapters made it easy to follow. Although I have been in sales and marketing for years, I still learned a lot. This book was given to me as I'm in transition in my career and I found many useful tidbits. The title may focus on the holistic practitioner, but the content is universal for any profession. If you're looking for something to point you in the right direction with clear, simple steps - then this is for you! I highly recommend it.

Summary: Great Marketing Resource
Review: I am one of those business owners who let the fear of marketing get in the way of real success. A friend bought me this book, and it's been a real postive step in increasing my business. The chapters are short but packed with good information and I'm looking forward to the weeks ahead with my Marketing Guide. The quotes the author chose are so inspirational! I've just ordered two more books for my friends in the business....

Summary: Great book for ALL creatives who hate to sell!
Review: If you're like most holistic practitioners, you pride yourself on being creative, nurturing, and intuitive. The idea of marketing yourself and your business conjures up images of "pressing the flesh" like used car salesmen and politicians. "Marketing for the Holistic Practitioner" is a GREAT book for the non-salesperson. With tips on everything from how to price your services and public speaking, to how to throw an open house or what to wear to a networking event, the book is chock full of simple, low-cost (or free) suggestions to start, grow and maintain your practice. Highly recommended.

Summary: Fun & Motivating
Review: This book is innovative and original in its thinking, not your usual How To guide. It shows ways to look at a new, or an existing business from the outside in, and how to make it lively and different. It tells how to get clients -- and how to keep them.

The Table of Contents is divided into 32 clearly-defined sections, and some of these have sub-sections. It covers all areas a holistic practitioner might need.. It is also easy for readers to view the whole picture. They can then decide whether to read the book from cover to cover, or go straight to the subject that interests them at that time.

The author knows how to speak to readers at all levels. She gives the basics for beginners, but also has a unique approach for practitioners who might need new ideas due to increased competition. She does this by looking at the business with fresh eyes from the clients point of view.

The author obviously loves her subject and it shows, making the book fun to read and motivating!
