A very valuable resource for anyone who wants to chuck the commute and make a home office!

The authors explain all you need to know about starting and running a business, from tapping your talents and skills, to avoiding scams, writing a business plan, boosting your professional image, managing your time, networking, setting up a home office, and finding affordable child care. Unlike other work-from-home books, Mompreneurs really shows moms how to balance their business and family lives and come out winners! Loved all the success stories from real work-from-home moms.

Review: I think this is a wonderful book. The authors also have a newer book out and both books are great resources full of practical tips, and stories that are very inspiring. I would recommend both books to any mother who has a business or is thinking of starting a business.

Summary: Saw it on OPRAH!
Review: I was just finishing my copy of this book when I saw the authors were quoted on Oprah's show on June 26. I think the authors have lots of great ideas and they obviously have first hand experience. And to see the book and writers quoted on Oprah gave more emphasis to their points. I would recommend this book to anyone who has started or is even remotely thinking about starting an at-home business.

Review: Patricia and Ellen have created a gold mine of information. It is absolutely filled with essential information for entrepreneurs. Although geared to Moms this book is a must read for anyone starting a business! It is even worth reading as a refresher once your business is up and running! Thanks for all the help!

Review: This book was truly my inspiration for getting off my ... and starting my own public relations/event planning company. I had just graduated from college with a degree in Communications/PR and was working as a marketer when I realized I wanted to be the one deciding what to do with my life. I also couldn't bear only seeing my children for an hour before they went to bed.I picked this book up on a whim in the bookstore. After reading a tiny part, I knew I had to have it. Just a few months later I have my own business, and am working on my first paying project. This book showed me how to do it, and gave me the inspiration and support I needed.

The information and advice given is top notch and really helped me when I needed guidelines for my at home business. Whether you are thinking about starting a business or already have one established Mompreneurs is a very valuable resource! I would recommend this book to men and women alike who are looking for useful and helpful guidelines in your business life. It's a very fun read to learn how others are doing it also!

Summary: Momprenuer from...- a good starting point
Review: This is s a good starting point for new moms considering going into home based business. As you develop your business, you'll likely need more specific information, but Mompreneurs will give you a broad range of information to help you get started. I read this book almost three years ago while nursing my first child. I've been in business for two years at ... and occassionally refer back to the book for reminders.
