Summary: Worked for me....
Review: After reading this book, I was armed with financial know-how that helped me in acquiring a loan for $750,000 to purchase a commercial property (my first business loan with terms of 1% over prime for 20 years!). I utilized examples/forms given in the book, asked pertinent questions to bankers, used the "7 C's", and concentrated on what the lender needed from me.
I recommend this book to anyone wanting a better understanding of how to finance your first small business with conventional resources.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must-have for the start-up businessman
Review: Robert Sisson shows without a doubt that he has extensive knowledge of the commercial loan industry. In this book he shares his knowledge with you in detail.
The first ten chapters deal with how banks operate and how to get loans from them. You end up with a new understanding of what it takes to get a loan from an otherwise hard to approach institute.
The balance of the book discusses all of the other sources of financing, and the pro's and con's of each.
If you are starting or already own a business, this book is a great primer, and a reference that you will use constantly. It is full of valuable links and sage advise that you can't afford to pass on when you are looking for business financing.
