Rating: Summary: Sacrilegious and stupid Review: I bought this book for a school project and I couldn't put it down. It's so easy to read. As a high school senior trying to decide what to do for the rest of my life this book really helped me put things in order. It helped me see that "Jesus' definition of success was 'to do the will of God.'" I loved the examples within the chapters of how people had applied these tips to their life. The questions at the end of each chapter were good but didn't really apply to me or help me. Overall I would definitely reccomend this book to people. Especially if you are struggling to find a job that suits you. This book really helps you put your values into persepective and realize that you will be the most successful if you pursue that job that makes you happiest and brings you closest to God.
Rating: Summary: Beyond a Business Book Review: I bought this book for business purposes, yet found it changing my personal life too. This book speaks directly to your heart! I have discovered ways to be a better business owner, wife, family member, friend, etc. The wisdom and life-experiences packed in this book make it hard to put down. Not only is it hard to put down, but I want to read it over and over again to make sure the principles are being implanted in my mind and spirit. Laurie is an earthy writer who doesn't try to please everyone or play the politically-correct game. She tells it like it is! And she fully understands that no other man but Jesus has changed so many lives and is still doing so today!

Rating: Summary: WOW! Another fantastic proactive book by Laurie Beth Jones Review: I had been on pins and needles waiting for this book. I was not disappointed; in fact, it was even better than I had anticipated. It is destined to become a best-seller because I already have a list of at least 2 dozen friends and family members that I want to buy it for - and I don't think I will be alone in feeling this way. This is a 6-star book.Laurie Beth Jones has been one of my success mentors for years. Her wisdom is clear and eloquent - but more than that it is right on! She has every right to invent her own word "Spiritrenuer" (spirit-ra-nur). This book has already helped my to see that I need to get to know myself even better so that I can serve others in my business better. I guarantee that if you read it you will be a changed person - it's that incredible. Like her other books, I can see that I will want to read Jesus, Inc. again and again to get the full impact of its inspiration. Laurie Beth covers all of the proactive bases: smart thinking, system thinking, futuristic thinking, and positive thinking. If you are truly seeking the kind of success and abundance that makes your life 100% livable - you must read this book. Many of her ideas are found in SUCCESS BOUND, another book built on learning how to live a proactively life that is God centered and fulfilling. Everything that I have put into practice that Laurie Beth has recommended in her books has worked. She helped me to find my major purpose in life. It has been one of the most important keys to my success. My mission statement now reads "My mission is to learn, live, and teach the principles of proactive thinking in order to help bring abundant life to all." When I finished writing it, it completely changed my life and gave me new energy to pursue what I knew all along to be the right thing for me. It helped me to become "Dr. Proactive" and has brought me success by focusing on serving others using my God given talents. You will find that this exciting book becomes a part of you. Don't hold back - let it happen. In fact, I plan on spending 10 to 15 minutes every morning for the next several days focusing my thoughts on the truths of this book, thereby allowing them to seep deep into my subconscious mind. If you do this too I guarantee God's wisdom will most assuredly bring you the success and abundance you deserve. Enjoy Jesus, Inc. and your new proactive and successful life!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic inspiration for the entrepreneurial front line Review: I see reviews that are the opposite of what I'm writing and question if people have lived the start-up adventure. Now more than ever inspiration is needed to understand the tests that you will face along the way. Not being an entrepreneur is not an option for those that have truly caught the spirit, this book is a fantastic way of reflecting upon work from the perspective of your Christianity. For those who believe the worlds should not blend, this is still an inspiration for hope through the difficult times. And religion is just a basis for hope when the going gets tough regardless of your beliefs.
Rating: Summary: A Book for the Economist with a Soul Review: Jesus Entrepreneur by Laurie Beth Jones is a book for economists with a soul. The type of economist who is entirely concerned with pluses and minuses has become abundant in today's society. Along with their increase in number, books for their appeal have also increased. This has persisted to the point where many economic books say nearly the same things. That is why this book by Jones is a breath of fresh air for the tight-collared, worldly business man or woman. It is not only for Christians. The morals discussed in Jesus Entrepreneur can be accepted across the world. Some, if not all, are Christian morals, but not too extreme to where the normal human being couldn't accept them. The main objective of this book is to bring moral reckoning to a job that can lure its workers away from such ethics. The economy was always thought of as being concrete, black and white - no room for ethical standards. Jones has made room, and shows us how to work within physical, and spiritual boundaries. This book is helpful to all types of economists, Christian or non-Christian, as long as they like being successful (like I said, all economists). Also, one need not be an economist to enjoy this optimistic book which gives light to a profession that may need it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in becoming successful in spirit and in their profession.
Rating: Summary: Ancient Wisdom For Today's Entrepreneur Review: There's a new breed of entrepreneur emerging in the business world. One who is interested in promoting their deepest personal and spiritual beliefs, as well as their products and services. They are the ones who launch a business that not only showcases their talents, but also benefits others. Laurie Beth Jones, the best-selling author of Jesus CEO, calls this new breed of leaders "Spiritreneurs", and has dedicated this book to keeping their dreams alive. The ultimate role model for the Spiritreneur is Jesus Christ, whose leadership style as told in the Bible, incorporated His talents, gifts, and His desire to do well by doing right. According to the author, you are a "Spiritreneur" when you are committed to establishing a business that is a true reflection of your spiritual and personal beliefs. In the coaching profession we call this `authenticity", that which is a true reflection of oneself. Using Christ as the focal point, we learn how to become real Spiritreneurs. What did He do that made Him the most successful entrepreneur and leader in the world? A few important facets of His life are covered int his book: He heeded the call to Spiritreneurship, During the early days He established His identity He was a Visionary Laurie Beth Jones takes each of these qualities and expounds upon them with relevant Biblical facts that pertain to today's entrepreneur. I came away from this reading experience with a deeper appreciation of the legacy Christ has left for us to follow. His life was the ultimate model of leadership, and of someone who launched, and lived His dream. 5 Stars. Highly recommended

Rating: Summary: Sacrilegious and stupid Review: This book combines the worst of self help books for losers, fawning CEO worship and dim-witted management guides and adds a generous dollop of ignorant sacrilege to boot. Folks, Jesus is not a CEO and CEOs are not Jesus. According to Christian doctrine, Jesus was also not a wise man, or a philosopher, contrary to what heretics like GW Bush and Muslims like Osama bin Laden believe. Real Christians believe Jesus was God. In the early days of Christianity, people had their tongues cut out or were forced to drink molten lead for spouting the kinds of heresies you'll see in this book. Not very nice, I admit, but at least it kept the faith alive. A few more books like this and Jesus will be making guest appearances on reality TV shows with other washed up celebs before diappearing forever from human memory.
Rating: Summary: Jesus, Inc -- the spriitual view of business Review: This book encompasses and embodies all of steps, stumbling blocks and successes that spiritual entrepreneurs find themselves facing as they walk out their business careers. This book is not for everyone. If you are not tuned into God's way of conducting business and personal accountablility, read something else. My overall rating of this book is beyond excellent. I am on my second reading.
