Summary: Beautiful, but lacks function.
Review: I was hoping for a Harry Potter calendar that I can actually use as a calendar. Most of this calendar's space is devoted to the illustrations (which are beautiful). There is almost no room to write anything substantial by the dates. So the calendar is currently hanging in my kitchen as a decoration piece, and I had to buy another wall calendar that I can actually use on a day-to-day basis. All the same, I love Harry Potter and am happy that I own the calendar.

Summary: Great art!
Review: This calendar is absolutely great! I bought mine at a half price book store and I just couldn't believe the art work in it. I've always enjoyed the pictres Granpre contributes at the beginning of chapters for the books, and these color illustrations are nothing less than phenomenal!

Summary: Beautiful!
Review: This somewhat over-sized, spiral bound calendar features 12 of Mary Grandpre's illustrations. All are scenes from the first four Harry Potter books. They are printed on a matte finish, linen textured paper, and on only one side of each page.

The scenes, in order and as titled, are:

"Diagon Alley" from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
"The First Task" from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
"Defeating the Basilisk" from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
"The Rescue of Sirius Black" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
"The Marauder's Map" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
"Harry Faces Aragog" from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
"Harry's 13th Birthday" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
"Inside the Shrieking Shack" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
"Quidditch Match" from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
"Harry's Patronus" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
"The Second Task" from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
"Christmas at Hogwarts" from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Includes a calendar for 2004, 2005, and 2006 all together on the one extra page.
