Summary: "Learning Spanish Like Crazy" - not competition
Review: Hi guys sorry to post a review, as I'm the author and of course I think my product works - but this guy has posted reviews on 2 of my products touting a highly expensive (and unavailable through sources like Amazon & Borders) program called "Learn Spanish Like Crazy" - then he compares my products to it, and says they don't measure up. While everybody is entitled to their opinion, he depicts this other program as if it's a $20 audio program like mine, which it certainly isn't. As for my own products (Learn Spanish Verbs Fast & Musical Spanish) - I can only tell you that I've sold many, many copies of these programs, including on Ebay where hundreds of people have written to say how much they enjoyed these products. Nothing I produce is aimed at teaching you the entire language...but my programs are easy, fun, useful, and hit their mark. Reviews comparing my stuff to audio programs marketed through MLM that cost hundreds of dollars - are definitely inappropriate.

Summary: Love this audio
Review: I listened to this audio on a recent car trip to Southern Cal and found it extremely helpful in my quest to speak Spanish better. The verbs are clearly enunciated with an excellent Spanish accent. Anyone who seriously uses this product will most certainly be able to sound more like an educated speaker. Her voice is fantastic.

Summary: Good Investment but the Competition Crushes Stacey
Review: Learn Spanish Verbs Fast is a good tool for improving how you pronounce Spanish verbs or conjugated verbs. Stacey uses a Listen and Repeat method to help the listner learn how to pronounce verbs as they are conjugated in diferrent tenses. My only beef with this method is that it does not help you think in Spanish. In order to learn how to think in Spanish you need the Spanish speaker to encourage you by asking you questions that require you to respond in Spanish while conjugating Spanish verbs. Stacey doesn't do this. Stacey just has the listener listen and repeat over and over again. That may improve your pronunciation. But it won't do much to help you memorize the material or think in Spanish.

I think the best course on verb conjugation is Learning Spanish Like Crazy. Learning Spanish Like Crazy does use a listen and repeat method similiar to Learn Spanish Verbs Fast. But Learning Spanish Like Crazy also combines the reptition method with a technique that requires the listener to think in Spanish and conjugate the verb on his own, before hearing the correct response by the Spanish speaker. And then the student repeats the correct answer (conjugated verb) after the Spanish speaker. In all fairness to Stacey, I have to admit that Learn Spanish Verbs Fast is a good investment. But the Learning Spanish Like Crazy method knocks the socks off of Stacey's method.

Summary: Finally a Good Method to Learn Spanish Verbs
Review: Learning Spanish verbs has been the toughest part of the language for me. So I was thrilled when I opened learn Spanish Verbs and popped it into my CD player.
This easy to listen to course teaches 50 important verbs
in all their tenses. Compared to books that simply list all the
verbs, this one is much for useful in my opinion for language learners. Now I comprendi Spanish better than ever.

Summary: Verb conjugations and tenses are a pain.
Review: The technique used by the author is to have the listener listen and repeat the verb conjugations for 50 important verbs. She covers the present, preterite, imperfect, and future tenses as well as the past and present participles. She does not cover the subjunctive or conditional tenses.

I think this is decent program for practicing pronunciation and memorizing the conjugations for these 50 verbs as well as learning their definitions. It doesn't require a lot of intense concentration for practicing unlike some audio programs. You can follow along to the audio with the booklet provided if you wish.

The drawbacks for me were I memorize things better when I can use the words in dialogs. There are no dialogs on this program so you won't get any practice including them in sentences. Also, the author spends very little time distinguishing between when to use the imperfect or preterite past tenses which is a problem area for me. A final complaint is that the recorded volume of the CDs is too low. I like to take the CDs to the gym where its noisy and even at full volume I struggle to hear the recording.
