Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Supreme charlatan on cracking form
Review: This man is a real performer, as many of the reviews this book has attracted testify. Three important points, though, which other reviewers have missed: A. Whyte is not Welsh B. He does not live in New Zealand, and C. he isn't from Ireland, despite some Irish ancestry, but grew up in Northern England.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Gorgeous but not easily accessible
Review: This poet has such heart and such command of the language. The sections on why we work are brilliant and stimulating. My criticism is that it needed better editing. I think he wandered at times, and it may it hard to go on at a few points. But overall, it is worth going after, and the poetry alone in it is worthe the price.
