Rating: 3 stars
Summary: somewhat useful
Review: I have found some good handouts in this book, but not enough for it's price.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent resource for the busy clinician.
Review: The Brief Therapy Homework Planner offers the busy clinician an excellent resource for creative and effective homework assignments to give to clients. The assignments are particularly valuable in this age of managed care and accountability in the field of mental health care. The author has done a great job of making the book user-friendly. Assignments can be copied from the book or printed from the enclosed disk. Recommended highly.

Summary: The Human Machine Writes 'Names 'for its hurts!
Review: When people have written that they think this is a good option for busy therapists in the age of managed care- I cringe. This reduces the complexities of the human experience into study hall.

The only possible usage for this sort of material would be in-patient perhaps, as assignments for interim periods, but as a one on one tool- it stands in the way of transferrence and humanistic care.
