Rating: Summary: Waste of time and Money!!! Review: Do not buy this book. I just wasted 3 hours reading thru this and I didn't learn a single thing. Unless you need someone to tell you that "a nod is a signal of agreement" or how to distinguish between a man and a woman's appearance, do not waste your time or money on this book. If you don't believe me, go check it out for yourself in a book store first which is what I should have done. Really, I don't know what these other people who gave it good ratings were thinking.
Rating: Summary: Not Useful Review: I am a little over halfway through the book and I doubt I will finish because it just can't hold my interest (and I am very interested in the subject). It reads like a technical college text and is definately not a fun book. After reading what I have I haven't picked up one useful real-world exercise to try and it contains less info about body language than other good books like Body Language Secrets or Undercover Sex Signals. I have Superflirt on order and am hoping it has more real-world useful information and advice.
Rating: Summary: ok but not what I expected Review: I expected a book on how to read body language. This book does NOT do that. He really focuses on how my body should look. That is about it. Not a whole lot of great information. The exercises they suggest are not good. When you are done with the book, you realize that body language is important that our understanding of it should be better. But AGAIN that is it.
Rating: Summary: Very poor Review: I wanted to learn about body language, how to read people and how to get across more convincingly. I have not learnt any of those aspects from this book. The author just describes the different topics and does not provide any insight or meaningful discussion. Save time and money, try something else.
Rating: Summary: Interesting! Review: This book is very complete and interesting but in order to really appreciate it you must complete the "real life" experiments throughout, so you tend to need to dedicate a lot of time to it.

Rating: Summary: Excellent book.... Review: This is one of the best books on body language that I have read in quite some time. All of the information in it is current and up to date with the latest studies. It also gives information about the difference in body language between races, classes, and cultures. And also some information about the origin of certain gestures. For the lonely guy there is plenty of info on courtship behavior and how to appear more appealing to the opposite sex. This is a great book if you are looking into body language for the first time. There is exercises for you to practice to improve you ability to read body language. Great purchase.
Rating: Summary: Waste of time and Money!!! Review: Why I wrote this review: I had to write this review after reading the 1 star "spotlight" review, entitled "ok but not what I expected." I have read countless books on Body Language, Self-Help, NLP, Social Psychology, and Persuasion, and this book is one of the best books I have read. The negative review is inaccurate and misleading. (Note: I am not affiliated with the author or publisher in any way.) This book is not for everyone: If you won't do the real world body language exercises don't buy this book. You need to actually do them. They're fun! Many books on body language will give you "generalizations" or generic rules, which you read about but never incorporate into your every day life. This book's different because instead of just telling you a concept you actually get to experience the concept. After reading this book you'll look at the world differently. The real world body language exercises are fun: For example, instead of just telling you about current theories related to pupil dilation and attraction the author suggests that you actually go out into the real world and try it: "Select an attractive stranger... Try to decide from their eyes alone whether or not they like you..." The author gives you further advice and pointers on what to look for and what to do. If you do the fun exercises like this, your awareness of body language will improve dramatically. This book is great because: It incorporates body language into your every day life, and covers a wide range of topics including: eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, personal space, posture, proximity, touching, and even more sophisticated NLP concepts such as timing and synchronization. I strongly recommend this book. For other great book ideas check out my listmania lists.
