Rating: Summary: Simply the Best Review: Navigating the streets and highways of Los Angeles can be daunting. "Streetwise Los Angeles" is fun, colorful, easy to read and an absolute must for anyone visiting the city for the first time.
Rating: Summary: Essential for Metro Los Angeles Review: This map is great! It includes the metro area of Los Angeles, Santa Monica beach -> Downtown (West->East), and from the Santa Monica Mountains/Franklin Ave to the 10 Freeway (North -> South). This is a very popular and dense area including the following communities: "Westside", Santa Monica, Venice, Westwood, UCLA, Rancho Park, Cheviot Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Sunset Strip, Wilshire, Hancock Park, Park LaBrea, Miracle Mile, Cathay Circle, Midtown, Koreatown, and Downtown LA. Plus, there is a smaller freeway map that includes the entire county of L.A., from Thousand Oaks/Malibu on the Northwest to Orange County on the Southeast. If you are visiting L.A., or if you live in L.A., it should help you get around, and figure out where you are. It includes major hotels, metro/subway stops, hospitals, parks, museums, golf courses, studios, colleges, etc. It is a wonderful size (just right), and is very durable (plastic coated). I am buying additional copies for family members! The only thing you need to keep in mind is that there is not "detailed information" for the entire vastness that is L.A., but rather the communities mentioned above. Great for students (UCLA), tourists to Hollywood/L.A., and locals. Detailed information around USC is not on the map because it is located south of the 10 freeway. I have many maps of L.A., and this is the one I always use, and the one my friends want to have!
