Rating: Summary: If you're into light reading... Review: Amazing how much effort we put into finding information to help us help ourselves. This book is just another spin-off on the original. It names few if any sources. Ask yourself this question: Do you need to be a Ph.D. to know this stuff? Are we getting any real insight here? With other titles like "Don't Worry, Make Money" it sounds like the good doctor is abusing his degree for the sole premise of making money. A much better book is Self-Help Stuff That Works by Adam Khan (Youme Works; ISBN: 0962465674). You won't find it on bookshelves at the store, but you'll find it here on Amazon, where I bought mine. I heard him speak on a radio program. If that guy had half the marketing budget as Carlson, he'd be WAY ahead.

Rating: Summary: E x c e l l e n t !! Review: Great book that is ! I read it whenever I found the time and with its small chapters full of great insights it puts all of your life in perspective again. From living in the present to reevaluating your goals in life this little wonderful book is full of beautiful, simple true insights in what is really important in life. I have it besides my bed and read at least one chapter every evening. And I will for sure start at the beginning again once I have finished it (for the second time) I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels that todays society and its values are somewhat out of proportions. You willl realize that it all is just you...

Rating: Summary: A GOOD book, Not Earth shattering. Review: I have read two of Carlson's "Don't sweat the small stuff" series books. This one was better than "Don't sweat the small stuff, Just make money". This book has suggestions on how to relate to problems and annoyances in a family environment and is remindful of how important family should be to us. There was little I took from this book that would greatly change my life, but it was good reading and has a few good suggestions in dealing with day to day family issues.

Rating: Summary: It is an excellent book for the working mom. Review: I was so inspired and encouraged in this book. It was life changing for me. Although I'm gradually putting into practice its concepts and suggestions, it help lift my spirits on so many occasions. It let me know that others go through like experiences as myself. I highly recommend this book to any working parent. Our kids are our most prized commodity, so we should do all we can to make life at home secure, happy and peaceful for them.
Rating: Summary: Don't Sweat The Small Stuff At Home: An Oxymoron Review: It's not rocket science - getting along with your family - but isn't it astounding how many people can't get along at home on a regular basis? Even if you're fortunate to have nearly perfect family relations, you'll find yourself in at least one situation in this little book. Carlson makes his points simply and in a straightforward manner which almost hits you in the head with: "OF COURSE! THIS MAKES SENSE! WHY HAVEN'T I DONE THIS BEFORE? " You'll enjoy the suggestions and practicing the ways to get along better with everyone who means anything to you in life (and even those you don't care so much about). Judge this book by its cover ~ it's filled with often overlooked words of wisdom!
