Review: I just received this book and am incredibly impressed with it. I'm pregnant with our first child and this book helped us immensely with chosing baby products for our registry. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to save money but still buy quality merchandise!

Review: I bought this book for my wife, and she read through it cover-to-cover. We are parents-to-be for the first time and we do not have anyone nearby to tell us every detail about baby stuff. We kept discussing about what to buy and what to consider during her reading. And we finally come up with the list of items that has certain brand, style, and etc. We are still shopping around and visiting the websites that book informed to get quality products with good prices. I recommend this book to every parents-to-be!!

Review: This is not just about getting a deal it is about buying the best products for your money and not buying things you don't need. I was so confused when I started shopping for baby items this book was a godsend. I buy this book for all first time expecting mothers that I know.

Review: I totally enjoy this book for all it's worth. It has really opened my eyes to things I thought was necessary that are really what they call in the book "A Waste Of Money"... I really think a mom to be needs this book. It's a sanity saver for first time moms. I think this book would be a great baby shower gift with a few extra bookmarkers (U will have your favorite chapters and pages).. If you think you know what to get or not to get.. Buy this book first then go shopping. Keep it in your purse. It's worth every penny. GREAT BOOK TO HAVE and to GIVE!!

Review: This book came in so handy when it came to registering for all that baby stuff. Which, everyone that has done it knows how overwhelming it can be. It gave good advice on brands of baby clothing to furniture, to maternity websites. I highly recommend this book for those who love to shop, love to save money and who love to buy items worth every penny.

Summary: An excellent book
Review: I agree with some of the other reviewers that some of the "bargains" in this book are common sense. I don't know why anyone would insist on outfitting their nursery with wall-to-wall Winnie the Pooh, but I suppose a lot of people are more concerned with 'cute' than with saving money. (As if your baby cares if the lamp matches the bedding!) That said, the book has a lots and lots of information. I didn't know, for example, that two of the biggest outlets for children's furniture are about a 30 minute drive from my house! Most useful of all is the information about individual companies and their products. You can get info on how a Cosco crib compares to a Babi Italia one, for example; how a Combi stroller compares to a Kolcraft, and so on. And there's info on how the different models from the same company compare to each other. And there are phone numbers and websites so you can follow up in more depth on the individual products that interest you. It is important to have the latest edition, although the authors do have a website with some updates. One last thing that this book opened my eyes to is the fact that 80-90% of child car seats are incorrectly installed.

Review: I know it seems funny to buy a book about saving money, but this book is well worth the price. The authors take all the baby lists you get when you register and pare them down to the basics. What do you need and why, what you don't need and why and what you might think about doing without or buying. They talk about where you can find items cheap and what you should splurge on. They provide safety information about the items you will be buying (like car seats, cribs and so on). Well worth the money

Review: This book is a must have for first time parents. I don't know how much money I will actually save, but the knowledge I have gained is worth the cost of the book. It was very helpful when trying to pick out baby register items since it compares all the manufacturers, products and offers suggestions on good, better and best picks. It also offers lots of tips you wouldn't hear about anywhere else. Very reliable, helpful and informative.

Review: This book is the BEST reference book to have to prepare for your new baby. It saved us lots of time & frustration, trying to figure out what to register for. My husband carried it everywhere. We now give it out as gifts to all new expectant parents!!!

Summary: SAVES MORE TIME THAN MONEY, BUT GREAT ADVICE
Review: OK, I honestly did not see myself buying a lot of the suggestins in this book, some of the "Bargains" were no bargains to my 40 hr a week working family, but the advice and up to date information on safety and recalls is the best out there. I got a lot of great advise on things NOT to buy that I am sure helped stop me from wasting money on things I may have purchased otherwise. You should buy this for the product reviews even if you do not always agree on the best "bargains" IT is the most in depth look at your major costs out there and they know their stuff. It is great that they do not endorse any companies, they endorse quality and safety for your baby.
