Review: This book has one of the best accumulation of information on what to look for in a diamond. Besides the 4 C's, the book also gives other details on what to look for. Without it I probably would have gotten ripped off by a jeweler without even knowing it. This book is definitely a "must-have" when looking for a diamond.

Review: This book is excellent. It does lack in pictures, but the clear and concise way Fred Cuellar explains the 4C's is priceless. I had no idea that Cut was so important and that is one thing that most Jewelry stores will not discuss. I even talked to the resident Gemologist at one "reputable" store that did not have a clue what a Class II cut was. Thank You Fred!!

Review: This book is fantastic! Bottom line: The diamond I purchased, appraised for TWICE what I paid for it, thanks to the information I learned from this book. Once you understand what Fred has to say (and believe me it's not hard!) you'll know all you need to know to get the perfect diamond for that special someone. This book assumes you know nothing and starts from there. It shows you how to avoid being conned, the right proportions for various shaped diamonds, optimal color / clarity mixes that will increase the value of your diamond (for investment reasons) at faster than normal rates.
