Summary: Helpful
Review: It is an extraordinary book for someone who has no idea about how to begin his/her campaign. Some issues are useless outside of USA, but most of them are helpful in democratic countries worldwide. I became conected with my campaign in Mexico City and I expect that Susan Guber help me to be local representative next year (I may write an additional comment by July 7th 2003).

Summary: Good book but a little dated
Review: This book was written in 1988 and updated in 1997. Despite the update, it is still dated in some ways .. particularly as to advice on using the computer in your campaign. I think a more up to date book is Judge Lawrence Grey's "How to Win a Local Election." Still, this book is very good in may ways in that it goes over all the aspects of running for local office. It shows how to get organized and how to do the importnant things for a local race, such as door to door campaigning. All in all, this book is helpful to the candidate for local office.
