Summary: Fun!
Review: This book is a really fun way to get started with Japanese. Hiragana is the first 'alphabet' that Japanese children learn. As well as showing you how to write the kana the book also provides you with a vocabulary to learn, these Japanese words are a great way to test what you have learnt providing you write them out on another piece of paper, so you can't see the 'romaji'. I am tempted to go through the book and cover up the 'romaji' so I don't become dependant on it, but I won't be able to do that until I know the sounds.

I think the best bit is the monkey's face whose mouth shape changes for each kana, giving you a small hint at the pronounciation.

The illustration has a very Japanese style to it and I guess this makes you feel as though you are reading a Japanese book. When you read through some Manga or the instructions for your dvd player and you can spot letters that you know, instead of just staring at something that looks like just a load of random squiggles, it is very exciting. This is what motivates me to keep going, although I do aspire to read more than just instruction booklets and Manga! I think Japanese children's books are probably the next step for me, but this book is definetely one of the best ways to get started with hiragana. Lots of fun!

Conclusion:- Great way to get started! Five stars!

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: This book is brilliant. I bought this book for my two nieces, and they can't put it down. It goes with us in the car, to school, you name it. This book is fun and educational and teaches basic japanese through colorful visuals, clear definitions, and plenty of instructional guidance.

I never thought my nieces would be this interested in a book of this type, but they are! This is a great gift for kids as well as adults. You need to have this book in your collection!

Review: This book is GREAT!

I cannot wait to get the Katakana version once it is published in the future. I highly recommend this book to all Japanese language beginners.

Summary: Great Teaching Aide!! Really Colorful!
Review: This is a really interesting book! I've always wanted to learn more about the Japanese language, but it seemed so difficult. This book is easy to use, very colorful, and the illustrations are great!! The artist did a good job of keeping the book fun! Also, the book is very easy to read. That makes a big difference especially since I have no true knowledge of the Japanese language. This seems like a good book for kids, but I'm over 30-year old and learned a lot from it.

Summary: Great Book for Kids and Adults to learn Japanese quickly
Review: Wow, this is a great book for both kids and adults to learn
Japanese quickly.

The pictures and graphics are fantastic and allows you to
remember the pronounciation and the writing strokes easily.

The author of this book is introducing a new three
bubbles learning system. It is definitely helping.

Can't wait until the second book from this author & company.
