Summary: Every Woman Should Read This !!!
Review: Kate White does an excellent job at giving us a candid look of how women tend to fall in the role of pleasing everyone in the workplace, home, etcetera. We fail to realize that in many cases we overlook ourselves and in essence are afraid of taking risks.Thank you Kate White for empowering women!!!

Summary: Where's the facts?
Review: Kate White offers a lot of self-empowering advice here, but after just having read Good to Great, I see that her advice is ONLY based on experience, not on any hard evidence. Some of this advice may work for her, but according to the facts in Good to Great, the leaders who make companies successful don't have the charisma she's talking about. At any rate, she offers some great tips for someone who likes to keep the status quo. She simply uses the doormat vs. gutsy woman approach to prove her point. (And her experience still has merit - look where she is now.)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You don't have to be a man to succeed as a woman.
Review: Ms. White's book offers the best model for succeeding as a woman in a still tilted-towards-men's world. Highly readable and immediately usable, any woman will be richly rewarded with ideas and practical approaches to succeeding in her career and her life. This book is not for women only. Any man who reads this book will learn more about women and how to apply the best that women have to offer to his own career.

Summary: I want to give Kate White a big hug!
Review: Simply a wonderful book. It's an act of incredible generosity from a woman didn't have to write this book to all women who had hidden their gutsiness. I felt an amazing freedom and lightness of heart after I read this book. It's practical and readable (filled with appealing anecdotes that we can all relate to) and courage-inducing!

Thank you so much Kate.

Summary: Some Life Changing Concepts in Here
Review: Some of this book is abhorrent. So why do I give it five stars? Because the stuff that is worthwhile is fantastic. So I sighed at the silly stuff and let the rest help improve my life.

Summary: I thought there was something I was doing wrong.
Review: Thank you Kate for writing this book. I loved it. I think mostly because I recognized myself as the "Good Girl" you wrote about. (Although I consider myself an assertive woman.) I found that I could relate to some of your stories. I recommend this to any one who needs a little guidance or assurance that your doing okay. PS. I am in sales and I found your advice applicable to my world as well. Thanks again!!! Lily

Summary: Buy this book if only because . . .
Review: The author contrasts two different "styles." The frenetic, loud-mouthed exercise guru, Susan Powter, whose crashed and burned professionally and the calm collected Hillary Clinton. While I do not care for either women, the lesson about sophistication and class while under stress was well worth the price.

The rest of the book deals with dumb mistakes women make and will probably always continue to make.

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: This book has changed the way I think about my career and inspired me to become more "gutsy" by taking smart risks. These are things that nobody teaches you in business school. Gutsy girls go after what they want!
