Rating: Summary: Its two dollars. Buy it. Review: Everyone on the planet that doesn't speak Spanish should own this little book. For $2 it has suprisingly good information. No complaints from me.
Rating: Summary: Well worth the money! Review: I am in Antigua, Guatemala, 7 weeks into an immersion spanish program. I have glanced through a number of small dictionaries or books that seek to build vocabulary. The choice of words is always puzzling. For example, you might find the spanish word for "elf" but then be unable to find "fork".This book on the other hand has a very wise choice of words. It covers most of the verbs and nouns and what not you will need for basic conversations. "to have", "to want", basic foods, basic prepositions. So far, it has the wisest choice of words I have seen. Furthermore, each word comes with a sentence, which helps with grammar and usage. ...
Rating: Summary: An absolute 'must have' book. Review: I bought an assortment of 5 spanish books, but this one is the most useful. I carry it in everywhere and find myself reading it often. If you are a beginner or just relearning spanish, this book is an absolute must for your spanish resources.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: I bought this book on the advice of the reviewers. Perhaps I am too critical, but I think it is a waste of money. I prefer a more comprehensive reference. Major criticism. There is no English-Spanish x-ref.
Rating: Summary: Not for beginners Review: I bought this book when I was starting to learn Spanish. I wanted something small and quick that I could carry with me. The book does not have English-Spanish; it is organized alphabetically in Spanish. Each word has a brief definition. Most words also have an example sentence. It is also uneven in its coverage; sometimes I cannot find Spanish words that I consider very basic. I did not find this to be a useful reference or learning tool as a beginner. For someone who knows some Spanish already, it might be a more useful tool.
Rating: Summary: A really great bargain! Review: I don't remember when $1.35 has bought so much. For quick review of common Spanish words, this little book is great to carry with you in pocket (when folded in half) or purse for those annoying moments of 5, 10, more minutes of standing in line or otherwise waiting for something to happen. At $1.35 you don't mind folding it or even losing it since it's cheap to replace.
Rating: Summary: useful for a beginning speaker Review: I found this book really useful. If you already know how to put together basic sentences in Spanish (I've only taken first semester Spanish)then studying from this book gives you a really good basis for conversation. When I was travelling in Mexico last year I remember trying to look up a lot of these important words and phrases in the dictionary but being unable to find them. If you plan on trying to use your Spanish you should study from this list of essential words, many of which are often left out of beginning Spanish books for some reason. The book also gives clear examples of how the word should be used in a sentence, which is helpful.

Rating: Summary: Spanish On The Go Review: I like this book. It's probably the only Spanish book that I found
that's so small that I can put it in the back of my pocket and take
it everywhere I go. But you will need a good Spanish course to go
along with it. I am doing the Learning Spanish Like Crazy digital
course and the live teleseminars. Speaking one-on-one with the
Spanish instructor at the LSLC live teleseminars helps alot
pronouncing the words that I am learing in 1001 Most Useful Spanish
Words. You can also get a Spanish speaking friend to check your
pronounciation.
