Rating: Summary: Good book but the software? Review: I've loaded the software but can someone tell me what code to put in? Where is the "copy protection code sheet?" I can't find it in the book. Is the code simply the test score related to the school?Overall the book is a good cut and dry discussion on "technique".
Rating: Summary: This is for the person who needs EVERYTHING explained. Review: I am currently studying for the LSAT and cannot afford any of the prep classes, so I was really looking for a book that could help me LEARN and understand the concepts that will not only be effective on this test but in law school. The format of Nova's book and the order in which the sections are presented make the test easier to comprehend. It includes full explanations to actual LSAT problems that are very helpful. I don't feel like I'm learning a bunch of 11th hour gimmicks, and I'm getting more comfortable with the logic. I only wish the book included a little more advice on when to labor over diagrams or just take a good guess! Effective diagramming takes away at least about 1 1/2 minutes of problem-solving time. This will not be the only practice book I use before working on full-length LSAT tests, but it has given me a great start. I don't feel so uneasy about not taking a class now.
Rating: Summary: An Excellent Prep Review: Of all the LSAT prep material that I bought this spring, this book was by far the best! My June 2001 LSAT score was well beyond my expectations, and I have this book to thank. Master the LSAT gives extra attention to the logic section, but was also extremely helpful in the other two parts. It gives you the familiarity and tools to feel confident going into the test.
Rating: Summary: Most comprehensive book out there Review: This book is the best book available--particularly for those who do not have a background in logic. Master the LSAT gets into the principles of logic and shows how to diagram logic problems. These are skills that many other test-prep books take for granted. The analytical section of the book is not as strong, however. The solution explanations rely largely on process of elimination, which is too cumbersome and slow for a real test. I know how overwhelming all the choices are, but there are three books that really helped my reach my high goal: Master the LSAT, the Kaplan review book and the LSAC book of 10 practice tests. Good luck.
Rating: Summary: Incredible, Awesome and helpful book ever Review: I bought this book just a few weeks ago. Believe it or not, i have a justified hunch that i will be able to destory the LSAT astrociously in couple of month. Thanks to the Author of this book. Great book indeed!
Rating: Summary: Master The LSAT book is just Awesome Review: I just bought this book few weeks ago. It is just incredible. I already gained enough confidence. By next month or so, I have a justfied hunch that i will be more than confident enough to destroy the LSAT astrociously. Thanks to the Author of this book.
Rating: Summary: Law School Made Easy Review: I have recently completed my 6-week, "self-study" exercise with NOVA's Master the LSAT, by Jeff Kolby, in preparation for the law school entrance exam. I am extremely satisfied not only with its content, method and design, .... I feel more than adequately prepared to take the LSAT after studying the book and following its advice. I have scored well on two sample tests already, and will complete additional sample tests prior to the LSAT.
Rating: Summary: Go for it Review: I am amazed how helpfull and great this book is. Well as most of prospective law school applicants I took "brand name" LSAT tutorial book from KAPLAN, after reading the instructions, explanations etc. twice!! I still couldn't get it, as most of us I found LSAT to be aboring and more like annoying test. Well that was untill I found this book, I read some reviews , and after all $29 is not a high price, so I got the book and most of LSAT puzzles became clear. This book will explaing all the complications of the test, no matter how clueless you are you'll still understand it, after reading explanations you will want to do the test. Again I have seen Princeton and Kaplan, forget both go with this book!!
Rating: Summary: The absolute best, no question. Review: Forget Peterson, Cliffs or Princeton Review's LSAT books they are really a waste of time compared to this book. Jeff and Scott provide a masterful preparation book for the LSAT that is undoubtedly the best out there. It is thorough and systematic. It addresses the common pitfalls that plague LSAT test takers while strengthening and advancing really sound test-taking techniques. Really a must have for anyone considering taking the LSAT.
Rating: Summary: From a 158 to 167 Review: My first practice test was 158. My score on the Oct 2000 LSAT was 167. I couldn't do a logic game to save my life before I found this book. It provided a much better explanation of the questions than the Kaplan course I took. I love this book.
