Summary: Unparalleled in LSAT Preparation!
Review: I admit it. The LSAT scared me. After countless hours studying Kaplan's LSAT book, I cannot express how relieved I was to discover "The LSAT Advantage." I quickly forgot the headache and heartache of the previous three weeks as Professor Dave demystified the infamous LSAT. His questions and explanations were thorough, yet concise. With a warmhearted tone and in a clever, refreshing style, Professor Dave tackled the LSAT one "day" at a time. "The LSAT Advantage" approaches the LSAT akin to a weekend crash-course, which, in itself, makes this book worthwhile.

The real winner here, however, is the CD-ROM. Whereas other books provide CD-ROMs consisting solely of additional questions, "The LSAT Advantage" CD-ROM contains practical knowledge of the test, law school, and the law itself, through entertaining voice tracks.

Although other LSAT prep books provide tips and tricks, "The LSAT Advantage" provides genuine understanding. So, to anyone who considers purchasing an LSAT preparation book, even if you have another, pick up "The LSAT Advantage." Make a weekend out of it. You won't be disappointed; in fact, you might even find yourself having fun!

UPDATE: "The LSAT Advantage" not only helped me, but it helped two of my friends improve their scores over 10 points after I recommended it to them! I'm finishing up my first year at USC in Los Angeles, and I wouldn't have been here without Professor Dave. Thanks for the great book!

Summary: Sleek, no-nonsense LSAT success in one book
Review: I am a returning student with children and a part time job.
I could not afford the time and money for a LSAT review course. Having been out of the classroom for many years, I had lost my testing edge and the LSAT, after all, is quite intimidating. Finally, I found a great solution: The LSAT Advantage with Professor Dave. His style and approach to the test sections are quite inviting and unique compared to other courses I looked at. He simplifies each of the three exam parts with short insightful lectures, examples and exercises in such a clean, clear way that I came away with a distinctive mastery of the material: my timing improved, my scores increased, and my confidence grew significantly. The LSAT Advantage is more than a book --it's a simulated LSAT course. I heartily recommend this learning experience if you are intimidated in any way by the LSAT exam .

Summary: Interesting, but not realistic
Review: I bought this book because of the good reviews it had at Amazon. The practice problems were very unrealistic. Some of the tips were also unrealistic and counterproductive. It is a laid back style, however, and if you want to do marginal and put in marginal effort, perhaps this is your book. I have had the most success with Powerscore books and recommend them highly.

Summary: It's OK
Review: I didn't find the LSAT Advantage to much different than the typical Kaplan or Princeton Review books I have read. Yes, the style is light and breezy, but the techniques are pretty thin and the same as found in other books. I feel that books like Kaplan 180 or the Logic Games Bible are far more advanced and offer you a better shot at getting a top score.

Summary: Good book, too many errors
Review: I find there are too many typing errors in this book, especially in the last section, the logic game section. There are more than 10 questions in which the answer keys were completely wrong. I believe they need much more careful revision in the next edition.

Summary: Refreshing
Review: I found this book to be refreshing when compared to the other books on the market. It's fun and engaging...which helps keep your attention. There is nothing worse than trying to learn material when you are falling asleep. I didn't have that problem with this book. This is the best LSAT review course (in my opinion) Especially in this price range. The voice tracks alone were worth the cost of the book..

Summary: a student from SoCAL
Review: I took the LSAT some time ago and finished one semester of law school, then dropped out due to family reasons. Two kids and three jobs later I wanted to try law school again but I had to retake the LSAT. (Schools would not accept my old score which I found a little short-sighted.) I found this book on line and it seemed to fit my needs. I dutifully sat for the four-week course. It helped a ton, especially in the Analytical Reasoning section which had me absolutely fooled. The style, thorough coverage, and classroom humor of the teacher was very appealing. I also bought the four latest LSATs available and took them, timing myself. The materials in the book book were just like the past exams which gave me confidence going into the June exam. My score was in the upper 20% (better than last time). I strongly recommend this study plan if you are pinched for time and want a solid review. L. Herrington

Summary: THE BEST LSAT REVIEW BOOK ON THE MARKET!!!
Review: I would like to THANK YOU for your review materials. I recently took the LSAT exam, and I studied using materials from other companies. My preparation was lacking and I had to cancel my score. After the exam, I was thinking of signing up for a live course, however with a full-time job, a wife, two sons, and finishing my Masters in Taxation, it is quite difficult
to find time for a live course. However, since I am determined to continue my pursuit in becoming a tax attorney I decided to buy your book. Within just a couple of weeks, I feel so much more confident for the upcoming December LSAT exam. Thank you.

Summary: This book will raise your score
Review: If you've read my other reviews, you'll see that I've dissected and used nearly every test preparation book on the market. Though relatively new, LSAT Advantage has quickly moved to the front of the pack as the best LSAT book available.

The problems in LSAT Advantage are accurate and thoughtful, and the explanations strike the perfect balance between traditional, formal methods and state-of-the-art tricks specific to conquering the LSAT. The CD-ROM not only contains practice exams, but also tips and tricks which reinforce the material presented in the book. We use this book in our Gorilla Test Prep LSAT course, and students and instructors alike have found it to excel in every way.

Summary: The Best LSAT Review Ever
Review: In the past year, I have read three LSAT review books, and this is by far the best LSAT review book that I have read. The quotes are fun and interesting to read. It really did a good job of relaxing me. I really liked the conclusion and assumptions exercise. This was extremely important in finding the correct answers. I really liked the reading comprehension strategies. Your writing sample exercise was right on. You were very brief about the importance of it and the instruction on it. From the CD, your tips and tricks page is really helpful. There is a lot of great information in there. You explain the whole test and all of the key techniques of taking each section of the exam. I really liked the voice track introduction into law school 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year.
