Summary: A Terrific Reference
Review: The International Directory of Little Magazines and Small Presses is an indispensable reference for any serious writer who is interested in publishing his or her work. Listings for literary magazines include the name of the magazine, names of editors, and other useful information such as website URLs. Most importantly, each entry specifies the type of material the magazine's editors are looking for, and whether or not they accept simultaneous submissions from authors. I refer to this book frequently, and would feel lost without it. Well worth the investment.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Little Presses, Big Tome
Review: This book is a nice 'little' reference with some unique features.

For many publications, it lists the percentage of submissions that are published. Book publishers are often noted with the number of titles they anticipate printing in the next few years, as well as the size of the print runs.

If you have some time on your hands and are planning on skimming rather than only using the index, individual entries are capped off with a brief list of subjects and genre.

It's a helpful, though rather heavy book.
