Rating: Summary: Pretty good! Review: This book had some information in it that was useful on the test, however, you still need a halfway decent knowledge of authors and genres to pass. I have to admit it was still helpful in looking up a few test questions, though!
Rating: Summary: Good starting point... Review: This book is good for those who have little background knowledge of humanities and need a starting point. I gave this book only three stars because I feel it doesn't actually teach information one needs to know for the CLEP, but focuses more on test taking skills. Even though some material covered in the book did appear on the CLEP test, I recommed using multiple references i.e. textbooks & other study guides. I passed the CLEP with a 67, but most information I found in the book did not help me too much when taking the test.

Rating: Summary: Great Help Review: When I went to take the humanities test, the test monitor said "you're a brave soul". That didn't exactly boost my confidence. Upon leaving the test I had no idea if I passed or failed--I PASSED! I only had the book for 2 weeks, I can't say enough! Buy it!
Rating: Summary: Excellent guide! Review: While this guide does not teach you absolutely everything you need to know to pass the exam, it teaches most of it. It gives you excellent test taking skills, which is necessary if you haven't taken a computerized CLEP exam before. (I hadn't.) Next, it gives you a good grounding on all areas covered by the exam. About half of the questions in the book were on the exam I took. Another third of the questions taught me how to answer similar questions on the actual exam. I got full point: 80 out of 80 on the exam I took using only this guide, the 10 sample questions I got from College Board for $10, and a little bit of prior knowledge. You can easily pass (50%) with this guide. GOOD LUCK to you!
