Summary: My favorite herbal
Review: I have found all of Cunningham's books to be well worth reading, and this is my favorite of the lot. There is an amazing amount of information stuffed into this book. Most valuable to me (in both magickal and medicinal work) is the cross-reference of folk names. This is the first place I look when I read of a plant I do not know, unless I know the botanical name. Beginning herbalists should find it particularly useful. Besides the very practical nature of the book, it is filled with fascinating historical, mythological, and magickal information.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An excellent guide to magickal herbs
Review: This book is practical, easy to use and understand. It is a must for anyone interested in herbal magick. A wonderful compliment to Incense, Oils, and Brews.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent resource for symbolism, planets, and uses of herbs
Review: This Encyclopedia belongs on the bookshelf of anyone with an interest in Paganism, magic, or symbolism. Cunningham catalogs a huge selection of herbs, showing planetary correspondences, folklore, magical uses, and mythological references.

My copy is well-worn by this point, I refer to it often!

Summary: A great book
Review: This book is a wonderful resource, perfect for many aspects of Paganism. If you're interested in herbalism at all, this book should be on your bookshelf!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An extremely needed book if you are into Herbalism.
Review: This is undeniably one of the greatest books on herbalism. For important if you own the other book "The Complete Book of Incense, Oils and Brews" they really compliment each other. Not only is this book filled with useful information on herbs, but it also contains illustrations, herbal lore, tables of correspondance (for herbs and essential oils) and uses of many herbs. If you want to be a good herbalist you need this book.

Summary: Priceless Plants
Review: I bought my copy of Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs about six months ago and the book is constantly in my hands. I never would have thought that such a small book could hold so much information. I am the only one in my family intrested in the occult but all my family members love to hear the entries and the properties of common herbs and plants!
Cunningham really took his time and put some effort into researching the information of this book. I recomend this book to anyone interested in the occult, anyone who loves plants, or even just a nature lover. You won't be disapointed.
This book has pictures of most of the plants, latin and folkloric names of the plants, all sorts or charts and diagrams. It even has an amazing folklore index incase you don't know the actual name of the plant. This book has priceless information on all of the plants in it. It covers most plants some common and some rare. It is really worth it's price!

Summary: Great Refrence Book!!!
Review: I find myself looking at this book constantly when working with herbs. It gives a huge list of practically every herb imaginable. Most herbs are pictured, and contain its herb lore and other corresponding elements. A great book if your into herbalism, and or magick herbalism. Another great book by scott cunningham!!

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: What a cool book!! The title says it all because it really is an encyclopedia. Very informative. The only thing I would have added would be: what type of climate they survive in. (dry, moist, full sun, shade, etc) But then again this is not a "how to plant book". Aside from that I love this book!!! A must have (whether you are magickal or not!!)

Summary: one of my fav books of all times
Review: if you want to learn about wicca/magick and do some kitchen witchcraft to create more love, health and abundance for yourself and your family, there are three books i would absolutely recommend: Cunnningham's book on gems and metals, this one on magical herbs, and Silver Ravenwolf's solitary witch. Three books i always have by my side..

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Necessary Resource Book
Review: While not exhaustive, this is a definite "must have" for anyone learning the arts of Herbalism/Herbology. While all herbs, fruits, and fungi are not named, this is quite the definitive work, as of this writing.

Scott Cunningham had a good grasp of the concepts and finer points of Wicca and the various arts with which it is associated. While not all Magick Users endorse the Llewellyn's Resource Series, I, for One, do.

This book in particular, is an excellent springboard and/or supplemental for any path, any pantheon, with illustrations, magickal uses, history, practical uses, and associations listed, given, and chronicled. The tables in the back, I have found, are completely indispensable.

I highly recommend this work.
