Summary: Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs
Review: If I only was allowed three words to describe this book, they would be: authentic, and useful. Scott's books have a simplicity, backed by original thoughts, real knowledge and useful, light, but vibrant presentation. This book is no exception to this. His integrity and essence shines through his words, and this book as well as his others are a pleasure to read.

Summary: Wonderfully informative and good reading as well!
Review: The name says it all! Truely an encyclopedia this book gives you common names, ritual uses, magical lore, magical uses, and medical index to help you. With a two cross references in the back this book is a must for any herbalist or witch! However take caution, the cross index on the magical uses is slightly mixed up! (hince the 4 stars instead of 5!) Just check in the front to be sure when using the appendix only!

Summary: Great Book
Review: He does a great job of not just telling you what the herb does but gives you different information about it as well. Great book to have for reference!

Summary: Great book for the Solice Wiccan
Review: This is a great book to own if your into Wicca. It explains the uses of herbs in such a way that it makes it so simple to conjure up your own spells. Every Wiccan should own this book.

Summary: eh?
Review: This book, and the similar one about metals and gems, is limited in how useful it can be.

I REALLY wish he'd provided info on the sources for his information about the herbs he used, because some of it seems, well, strange, compared to other works.

For what it's worth, though, it is a good book for those wanting to dabble in herbalism and sympathetic magic.

I'd just rather see people use good, NON-WICCAN, herb books for herbal information for healing and ceremonial magick ones for the magick...

It really seems like a bit of a dabble.

Summary: fabulous
Review: I love pretty much anything by Scott Cunningham. His writing is such that it's informative yet easy to understand. This book is the perfect pair to Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Wicca in the Kitchen. The great part of this book is that he tells you the magical uses for the herbs. A winner!

Summary: A must have reference book!
Review: Some books are a must in any witch's library and this is one of them. A useful tool that is sure to be used frequently by newbie and Elder alike! User friendly, easy to understand with plenty of pictures/sketches. A wise investment! Highly recommended without reservation!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a must-have
Review: this book makes familiarizing yourself with the magickal uses of herbs easy and unintimidating. not only does the book present a detailed look at how herbs can be used in magickal workings today, but it also offers insight on how they were used in days of old. tables in the back of the book make it simple to discover what types of herbs would be good for your specific magickal purpose. every time i pick up this book, i learn something new, and it has become on of my most-used resources. i think i own nearly all of scott cunningham's books, and not a one has let me down.
