Summary: What a great reference book!
Review: This book covers all aspects of technology for building robots, as well as any many other "inventions". I found this to be of exceptional value. The web site inventory is tremendous. If this book is updated every couple of years, I will be back for another. No doubt, this was a great investment in information. The cover is a bit cartoonish for such a great reference.

Summary: Not Just for Robotics
Review: This book is a fantastic source for just about any hobby you can think of. One source alone was worth the price of the book to me. McComb has researched tons of stuff and presented it all in a very usable and unbiased format. If you love to tinker with things, I cannot reccomend this book highly enough. Not only does it present you with lots of good sources, but it is also filled with great tips in many different areas.

Great Resouce!!!!

Summary: A must have resource
Review: Whether you're interested in robots, hobby electronics, or diy electronics, this is a great addition to your reference library. One of the best features is that McComb describes and explains the concepts for a lot of the category of parts that are in the book (for example, motors, gears, all sorts of sensors, materials, etc.) He also marks the vendors that he's used in the past, so it's easy to find a trustworthy vendor if you don't have time to look into all the vendors that he lists.
You will not be disappointed.
