Summary: Best under $ investment you will ever make!!!!
Review: "Great book! Best under $ investment I ever made!It set in motion the development of my plan on how to become one of the best real estate agents in Dallas. I have since attended tele-seminars given by Dirk and they are first class. He truly inspires agents, new and old. As a new agent I have learned so much from Real Estate Champions, Dirk's company. I know this book, as well as all the articles from Dirk's website and his e-zine have helped me and will continue to help me excel as a real estate agent. I highly recommend this book to any agent that wants to kick their practice into higher gear -new or old."...

Summary: Writing the obvious
Review: A book containing everything you should already know before deciding on a career in real estate.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Obnoxious, Superficial Rip-off
Review: A regurgitation of sales nausea from the likes of Zig Ziglar, Earl Nightengale and Napoleon Hill with no specific reference to anything of substance but often repeated quotes and clichés. If you are actually motivated by this type of self-congratulatory, sports model sales drivel, well, this is your man. There are much better practical guides to your first year in Real Estate than this(21 Things I Wish My Broker Had Told Me, comes to mind). Personally I would not deal with anyone who spun this type of Slick Willyish simplistic double talk and when business deems I must, I shudder with contempt as I do at this book, which I am returning. A waste of time.

Summary: A must read for your first year!
Review: As a new agent trying to make a career change, and attempting to do it part time at that, I went in search of learning material that would teach me the ropes and get me up to speed with specific examples and game plans. Dirk Zeller's "Your 1st Year in Real Estate" quickly caught my eye as being the book I needed.

Chock full of scenario's and examples, with a healthy dose of motivational and positive attitude ideals we should all strive for, "Your 1st Year..." was easy and enjoyable to read, very informative, and nicely structured, taking you from the very important steps of interviewing "your future company" through the necessary steps you will use beyond 'your 1st year' to keep your business thriving. A must read for an agent new to the business, or seasoned agents who feel as though they are just "spinning their wheels."

Summary: THE "how-to" system that WORKS!..
Review: Bravo to Mr. Zeller! In all fairness, though, the credit goes to HIS mentor - Mike Ferry and his SUPER training organization. Mr. Zeller is simply putting in book format all that he was trained and coached by the Mike Ferry group to do as a real estate agent. The system WORKS! The most difficult part that new and traditionally trained agents will have to contend with is the daily application and the persistence that this system demands. Without a firm long-term commitment to the system agents will get discouraged. Yet, in the long term, there is no better system available to agents in the marketplace today. BUY the book and get inspired and JUST DO IT! Good luck....

Review: Dirk Zeller does a remarkable job in setting the stage for the roles played in the career of Real Estate. As a new agent, it's quite overwhelming. With so much to learn and without divine coaching, one can become distraught. Thanks to Zeller's educational and professional strategies for those who want to suceed in this career, I'm on my way to professional success!

Review: Dirk Zeller presents valauble information in this quick and easy to read book. There are no "secrets" in this book. You will find real world information that will make a positive impact on your career whether you are a brand new agent or have a few transactions under your belt. This book will help you combat counterproductive activites and manage your time more effectively. I have two years experience in the business and still found this book invaluable. Summary: Too basic - obvious advice
Review: Experienced agents definitely don't need this book. New agents probably shouldn't buy it either - the advice in it is very basic, probably something that the office manager tells you anyway. It covers everything from the surface but does not explain anything in detail.

Summary: A Mentor in Action
Review: For those of you who are looking for a Real Estate career or are fairly new to the business, this is a fabulous book to use as a template for implementing your business plan.
After reading a whole lot of 'expert' books, full of jargon you hear in theory class this is the best of the bunch for 'street- level', true business practices.
From the early research on why and how to get in the business, choosing the best office to setting up for the following years, this book reads as the best of these books do: to the point and full of information from one who has been there and is teaching like a mentor.
