Summary: This book is worth buying just so you can share it!
Review: I found the book to be filled with new approaches to handling the stresses that we create for ourselves in everyday life. More importantly, my husband picked it up and read it. He is like a different man! I can't say more than that.

Summary: Get Out Your Highlighters!
Review: This book can be read in one sitting, but you'll want to go back again and again to remind yourself of just how much we allow the minutia of life to overcome us. My yellow hi-lighter worked overtime for me, making notes on all the relevant issues that affect my sense of well being each day. SMALL STUFF forces you to look at how silly our worries sometimes are, how to put nearly everything into perspective, and how to genuinely believe that it's all SMALL stuff!

Summary: Even those "laid-back" people can learn a thing or two!
Review: Whether or not the effects are presently visible, my life changed upon completion of this incredible book. Not only could it do wonders for a stressed out person such as myself, the 100 strategies given to reduce stress levels and to achive inner peace could help those who think they are "relaxed" or even those who really are. Simple actions (recommended in the book) that I never could have imagined would calm my nerves already have proven successful in my life such as "Smile at Strangers, Look into Their Eyes, and say Hello," which is one of the strategies. "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" also helped me to put things into perspective and to reevaluate my priorities. Reading through this book, I came across many sayings and strategies that sounded very familiar such as "Choose your battles wisely" and "Become a better listener." Yet the strategies give the reader a new awareness of how he or she can better his or her listening skills or choices of arguments. The book made me better understand what I could be doing or doing better in terms of reducing stress while also opening my eyes to revolutionary stress-relieving ideas. After reading this book, I took a deep breath and seemed a bit more relaxed. It is definitely one that should be kept and re-read throughout life because it seems to help readers achieve an inner peace and comfort that for most is difficult to do alone.

Summary: Didn't you already say that?!?!?
Review: When you first start reading the book, it's quite enlightening...that's the first chapter. After about the first three chapters, I started having serious deja vu. There are only so many ways you can say the same thing before the reader catches on. Another thing, who in the heck is going to get up 4 hours before they need to, to meditate?!? I tend to like sleeping laying down instead of sitting up. And if I have 4 hours to spare, I'm surely not going to use it staring out a window. This book seemed to dwell on the passive nature in people. While he did say that sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in (BRAVO, finally a statement that doesn't tell you to be a wimp), he had so many other wishy-washy walk-all-over-me statements that anything he said worth noting was tossed to the side because of the unrealistic ideas he repeats so frequently. The one good thing that I can say about this book is now I can tell my friends I read a 40 chapter book in 6 hours.

Summary: An absolute mind rush!!
Review: Trust me one this people: Sometimes you need someone to point out the facts of life. You really don't know about it until you've finished this book. This author does it. As an intelligent, able adult, it is almost impossible to not see life differently- upon completing this book. I loved the short synopsis' and "cut to the chase" attitude of the author. I was lucky enough to have a friend give me this. And I'm passing it on to many others. This is a handbook to life- and happiness.

Summary: Carlson's book is a quick fix to the daily stresses of life.
Review: What I loved about the book, was its concise reminders of what most of us already know! Unfortunately, in the hectic world we live in, we need to be reminded that our job is indeed just a job and not our life, or that nobody is going to remember or care twenty years from now that I ripped my pantyhose at that "big" function. Reading even just one page of Carlson's insightful and meaningful words allows for my shoulders to drop just a little, as I remember that in the big picture of life, it really just is---ALL small stuff.

Summary: Short, smart, quick study for a more peaceful life.
Review: This has become my #1 gift to my friends. It has opened up my mind to a more peaceful way of looking at things. I am sharing that peace and wisdom with those I love and hope they will also find the freedom to make such simple, wise decisions that will eliminate stress, cultivate a garden of healthful living and find ways to cope with life's "small stuff". Bless you Richard Carlson for having the wisdom to be able to write this book for me.

Summary: It was the best book I have ever bought for myself.
Review: I bought the book as I was feeling stressed with all of the things you talk about, my work,my home raising a daughter an unfinished home and a husband who procrastinates.

It is only 2 weeks since I finished the book and believe me it has made such a difference in our lives we are all happier I feel great and most importantly I am so aware of a kiss or a caress my daughter gives me and instead of being busy all the time with housework I have been playing with her and I can see how much happier she is too.

My husband has actually done some work in our house WITHOUT ME NAGGING so for me this is a major step forward. Thank you thank you and please be assured I will be reading all of your books.
