Rating: Summary: This book has changed me, my life, even all thosearound me!! Review: Don't Sweat..... is a book that teaches you that life really is what you make of it. Most of the stress and pressures we feel are self-induced. This book has helped me, changed me. The best part? It is extremely readable, broken down in tiny bite sizes for those (like me) who find self-help books a bit too much to swallow. I recommend it for every one. it has even helped my marriage and relationships with others. Read this book if - you want a life easier on you!!! I love this book!!

Rating: Summary: Money well spent!!!!!! Review: The advice is so simple that you can incorporate it immediatley into your life. Take your time reading it, just a few chaptes a day, so that you can train yourself to recognize your usual patterns of dealing with situations/people and change it for the better. A great book I always recommend. Although, I can't vouch for the others books concentrating on Work/Home, I highly suspect this book it the only one of the series you will need.
Rating: Summary: 'Self-Help' for those who hate it. Review: I am someone who generally dislikes any sort of self-help book. They're usually facile and dull, and I particularly resist any sort of persuasion to 'be happy' or 'be well-adjusted'. I got this as a gift, and from pure reflex resisted opening it. But when I finally did, I was absorbed. The short topical chapters clarify all the types of self-sabotage, perversity, pettiness, and casual meanness we humanly indulge in, without making the reader feel like a total waste of oxygen. They're presented in a way that almost ensures a 'zing' of self-recognition. It made me realize just how much useless energy is expended on shoring up personal defenses. The advice -- which in general, can be summed up as 'letting go' -- can be hard to follow. One chapter that particularly struck me was about arguing, and how we stubbornly cling to our sense of rightness and refuse to yield an inch even to those we care about. I haven't quite gotten the hang of yielding yet, but I'm cultivating my zen a little at a time. This is the kind of book that a lot of people stumble across themselves, I think -- and if you give it as a gift, it probably means that you have your own copy already. ;-)
Rating: Summary: It opens your eyes! Review: This book is a great reminder of what life is about. Overall, it's all about common sense. It helps you open your eyes to your own life and reminds you to live and enjoy it as much as you can.

Rating: Summary: Delighfully down to earth little book to keep with me always Review: As I was reading each chapter, I was easily able to relate the content to my own experiences where I maybe overreacted to a situation, let something become all consuming or even just let something get under my skin unnecessarily. This is a practical guide to keeping life simple. I believe that this book should be read every six months or so just to help keep a proper perspective on what goes on around us. An excellent read!!!

Rating: Summary: wonderfully inspirational, Goes along with my 12 steps Review: I truly love this book and continue reading it as a guide for life. It has the spiritual aspect that goes along with my 12 steps of recovery. It depicts how I can lead my live with a degree of comfortability by doing simple things to improve the quality of my existence. I am very grateful to know that the small stuff is just that, "SMALL STUFF". I believe I can live a long, full and rich life if I have faith, believe in God, and concentrate on the IMPORTANT things, like family, friends and people who need help.
