It seemed promising, but honestly, I found the letters to be very bland and unimaginative. The ideas weren't fleshed out with enough detail and most of the jokes fell flat. Nowhere near the caliber of Letters From A Nut or Lazlo Letters.

A real original humor book that gets funnier every time you read it. The fact that this was never meant to be a book in the first place makes the whole concept more hillarious. Great job to the author for its brilliant execution.

Still, Mozian's collection of cover letter dispatches from the apocalyptic landscape of the unemployed offers inspiration and laughs. While plying the likes of GE, the Bronx Zoo, and Enron for a job, Mozian employs a never before seen virtue in Corporate America: Honesty (which perhaps explains why he remains unemployed). Mozian's cover letters always tell the truth. Mozian freely admits, when writing Playboy, that he wants to work for the magazine because he likes "naked women." When dropping WorldCom a line, the author discusses his "total inability to comprehend financial applications"; leaving the reader wondering if Mozian might have a point. Finally, Mozian tugs at the reader's heartstrings with his letter to NASA in which he admits he is blind (well, colorblind), but shall not be deterred from his dream to become an astronaut. Whether you find Mozian's work brilliant, hysterical, or just plain pathetic, you will no doubt be hooked on Joe Mozian after the first page. Laugh, cry, or sing along with the whole family, Mozian's collection of missives are a triumph for the unemployed and a beacon to ... well, whoever needs a beacon. Finally, let me say that someone should give this man a job. And while you're at it, give me one too.

It is exactly the type of humor I usually seek out. Fortunately, it found me. The guy next to me on a long flight home from CA was reading it and laughing continuously. At first it was annoying, but curiosity won out and I eventually asked what was so funny. The title alone won me over and I uncharacteristically laughed out loud. He lent it to me when he was done and I soon became that annoying guy when I too began laughing non-stop. Eventually three or four people ended up passing it around and all had the same experience, and a few who never got their hands on it made a point to ask for the title - which prompted a few more laughs. It is a very funny book and I am so glad it saught me out! If your are looking for something to read that is completely out of left field, buy this book!

You have to get this book. Read it, LAUGH OUT LOUD and get the perspective you need to survive and better cope with the frustrations of job hunting. It's Hysterical!!

Review: I bought this book thinking that it would be good "toilet lit", something for the guests to read. I really didnt like it, but since I spent the money I still put it in the guest bath. Turns out most of our guests thought it was dry and quite boring. We tend to enjoy the "letter sytle" books....but this one was pretty much the worst. I would tend to recommend either Consumer Joe (our current favorite) or Lazlo Letters. I hope this helps.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: I wish zero stars was an option Review: I found this book at our library's used book sale, and am glad that the dollar I spent on it is not going to the author. Clearly, Mozian is no Lazlo Toth. His attempts at satire fail so dismally that I cannot imagine even placing this book in the same class as Toth. You can see the punchlines coming a mile away: writing a Coke letter to Pepsi? How screamingly funny. I wondered how this piece of dross ever got published, then I looked at the publisher's name. Now it all makes sense.

Review: I found this book gave me belly laughs like I have not had in years. It is so hilarious I could not put it down. This is such a joy to read...a real page turner to the end. Joe Mozian shows us how funny he can be in print. Not only is he a funny comedian, but a truely gifted writer and, of course great musician (search for Blue Clocks Green). I know this would make a perfect gift for anyone who has recently lost a job and of course for those ( if you are a supervisor) you will soon need to terminate (for any reason) at work. A must read for anyone who really needs to chortle about the world of work and have a delightfully joyful laugh out loud X 10.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Blew me away! Review: I have never been more skeptical over the hype of a book more than this one. Well for once the hype lived up to my expectations. I loved this book, not just for its humor and originality, but for it's hidden social commentary. The author is smart enough to realize the serious statement that this book makes, though he cleverly disguises it all with humor. Crazy or genius, he puts it all out on a limb and walks away. Hiring practices get a kick in the rear and they don't even know it. Wonderful.
