Rating: Summary: One of the best books for a Star Wars fan. Review: One of the best books for a Star Wars fan
Rating: Summary: Not quite essential... Review: The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons is definitely the least essential and worst of all of the guides. Instead of going into the culture and ecology of the planets like it should have, it simply tells us the story of whatever adventure our heroes had there. We get that from reading the novels! This book would have been so much neater if it had told us something at all about life on these planets. We don't even get a neat map of the planets -- instead, a tiny black and white globe that isn't helpful, with a 1"x3" little inset map of the area we have heard most about in the books. Beneath that is a little illustration of a couple of people from that planet, most of them pretty bad and unhelpful. And then we get some more bad pictures of some native flora and fauna and some corny captions beneath them. This book is quite a waste of time and money!
Rating: Summary: Superb reference book for any Star Wars afficionado Review: This book is fantastic! You know that there is a Rebel Base on Yavin, but what about it's history? This book has the ultimate reference to planets and moons, an extremely comprehensive and detailed look at the planets and moons in the world of Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: Awesome but not so awesome Review: This book is good but it doesn't say enough about the planets. Most of it is about their involvement in Star Wars
Rating: Summary: planets of the star wars universe Review: This book is helpful for those who haven't read a certain Star Wars book, but come across one of the planets in that book mentioned in some other book. However, with all the new books coming out right now, you'll find that this book is pretty useless for them.

Rating: Summary: planets of the star wars universe Review: This book is very cool. There are 200 planets in this book. But there are way more planets then this.
Rating: Summary: Awesome baby! Review: This book taught me all I needed to know about every planet in the Star Wars Universe. If you haven't already, but it now!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This book was great it had alot of information on each of the planets and moons. It was a little disapointing when I didn't find any information on a planet I was looking for, but it's still a good book.
Rating: Summary: Great effort. This Essential Guide is worth the money. Review: This is a fantastic effort. The latest Essential Guide covers a pretty complete listing of Planets and moons in the Star Wars Universe. The only problem with the book is it is missing a few things, but that is expected. The Star Wars Universe is too big to include every planet and moon in one book, so all the major ones are included here, and does a very nice job. For under 20 dollars, its a very nice addition to any Star Wars Fan's Book collection. The information is thorough, and is designed very well. Very well done!
