Review: all i really need to say about this book is that its one of the most inspirational books ive read about moviemaking. this is the first book where it keeps a person informed with a lot of humor at the same time. also i'd rather listen to lloyd kaufman tell me what i need to make a movie than a conglomorate schmo who only wrote the book because his career is in a downward spiral in hopes that he can bring his career back to making movies with penny marshall.so what i am really trying to say is that i want someone who has experienced independent movies to tell me how i can finance produce, cast, and finish my movie.i hope for lloyd to be able to write another one because hes very inspirational

Review: Lloyd Kaufman has given us a fantastic book on independent filmmaking mixed with enough humor to make it, also, entertaining. The info you need is there, but it doesn't come crashing down on your head like a textbook! There are great tips here for filmmakers of all types and experiences.
I hear that Troma will be releasing an instructional box set of DVDs to compliment this book, soon. PLUS... rumor has it that an original Toxic Avenger novel is in the works, if Lloyd's publisher finally realizes that there is an audience for the novel.

Review: This is the best damn book ever. Lloyd shows you how to make your movies at a very low budget. He teaches you Financing, Scriptwriting, Budgeting,Getting a crew for cheap and lots more. Even marketing your film. This book made me feel more comfident about filmmaking and even making my own film. If you want to be a filmmaker, This book is definately what you've been looking for.
