Summary: The Best of the Best
Review: Well, just reading the first few pages was even very helpful, let alone the whole book! I have read some books that have a few helpful things in them, but that's the problem, "a few". This book is filled with stuff that you should NOT do. He tells you so much and it is very easy to read and has many illistrations from other famous screenplays. It will help you to write the right way and also gives you different ways to do it. This book is not a "should have", it's a "must have".
As I said it is very easy to read and very helpful. You shouldn't have problem reading unless per se, you are from Rotchester, NY or some place that has problems reading past the 3rd grade.
Basically, it's a great book and you have to read it.

Summary: Useful.
Review: Worth the dough. I tried to give it four stars because the page formatting section is a little incomplete, but the rating system wouldn't let me. The mistakes-to-avoid angle works very well.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best book I've found yet
Review: Yeah, yeah, writing a screenplay. They're like opinions: everybody has one. And most of 'em are bad. Including mine.
This book pointed out to me several problems that I had with my screenplays, and provided a very clear path to writing that has freed me up tremendously. I still may not have the best screenplays going, but they are a heckuva lot better than they ever were.
This book is cleanly organized, and escalates from simple things like formatting and spelling errors to how to write good description of direction and dialogue structure.
If you are writing screenplays that will be read by anyone else, GET THIS BOOK and avoid embarrassment.

Summary: nicely done.
Review: You read this and you really feel like this guy know what he is talking about. He's not wasting my time w/ a bunch of fluff - just providing the info I needed when i bought this book. And that's what i want from my non-fiction! Learn the concepts, learn the rules - his book actually made screenplay writing easier for me.
