Rating: Summary: Almost hit the mark Review: I know absolutely nothing about writing a movie treatment. Be aware, I am interested in writing a movie treatment NOT a full fledged script. So when I asked learned friends what book they suggested everyone named this one. I even asked for other references, everyone said this was THE book. The book does give great details on the content of a treatment, the necessary parts, and insight into the industry, however I was waaaay disappointed that a sample movie treatment was NOT provided. Had the sample been included this book would have gotten a 5 star rating. It would have been quite helpful to see a treatment dissected and the typing format!! Perhaps someone can email me a suggestion on a book that has the elements this book is missing Take care--
Rating: Summary: This is my text book. Review: I've read four books on the subject and this is the one I found most helpful. I referred to it constantly and used it as a text book while I was writing my first TV treatment.

Rating: Summary: More information Review: Interesting book. But, I would be interested to hear of anyone who has utilitsed this and other such books and successfully submitted a script. Are these books worth the money or are they for people who are dreaming about being successful writers? How many 'real' writers use such books? Can a writer 'make it' by using them? If anyone has read this book and had success, please submit a review as I think this would help other reads decide how good this book really is.

Rating: Summary: chosen by Book of the Month Club as a Quality Paperback! Review: This book answers the questions:
What is a treatment?
How do I write a treatment?
How do I use my treatment to sell my story to film or television?
Rating: Summary: A MUST for FIMLERS Review: This book is a gem. It was recommended by a fellow writer and it basically walked me through the process of writing the treatment for my novel. I look forward to using it again and again. It was informative and gave resources that are invaluable. They need to give seminars!
Rating: Summary: Good, practical guide Review: You won't find strict guidelines here on how to format a treatment, mainly because there really aren't any. The act of creating a treatment, though, and the thought processes that go into it are what matter, and the authors do an excellent job of helping a writer think about these things. The authors also maintain a great web site that's worth checking out.
