Summary: Phenomenal Book For Writers
Review: -This book covers all the basics you need for writing online; the how to's of query letters, electronic rights, pay rates, contracts, and more. It's informative, well presented, and enjoyable to read. In addition, the authors even have a sense of humor. I've ordered other books on the subject and "Online Markets for Writers" is clearly the best.

-MUCHO THANKS TO THE AUTHORS FOR MAKING THIS INFO AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE!

Best Regards--Dan Murphy

Summary: This is a good book
Review: . . . for people looking for new markets for their writing. --Particularly sort of off-beat markets. I am not within the 18-35 age range, so all these consumer magazines of today bore me to death. That is not so for some of the markets I found in this book.

I like the book as a whole, found it useful and practical and on the beam. I've been an independent businessperson for many years -- and all writer are that -- and the book is good and helpful. Many many many people who try to write sales books of any kind don't really know the difference between selling a product and selling a service. So most of what they say in their books is not useful to writers.

I like this book.

Summary: Review update
Review: After reading my review, the author, Anthony Tedesco, contacted me and assured me that regular email updates would eliminate the problem of the listing of defunct markets in the book. I am anxiously awaiting my first update. It was kind of the author to take the time to make contact. I reiterate that beyond the market listings, there is a wealth of information in this book for the writer looking to sell to the online trade. It is a must-have title.

Summary: A must-have for freelance writers looking to work the Web.
Review: An excellent guide to writing for online markets, with detailed descriptions of many online sites. I especially liked the profiles of other freelancers. The Tedescos pull no punches when presenting site writing guidelines and freelancers' experiences with those sites. Good tips on what kinds of material sites are looking for. Since many sites don't clearly publicize writing opportunities or guidelines, this guide is essential to getting started or to expanding your horizons.

Summary: Online Markets for Writers
Review: As a full-time freelance writer/photographer, I found this book a worthy resource. The information on electronic rights was especially valuable and, although many of the paying markets listed couldn't support a mac 'n cheese diet, there are some potential gems I was previously unaware of.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good Information - Simply Presented
Review: As a mom of two boys under the age of 4, and a freelance writer , I didn't (and still don't) have a lot of time to devote to researching online markets for possible queries. This book has done all the work for me in a fun and relaxed read. The Tedesco brothers begin the book with all the web-related jargon and skills you need, including a great primer on sending HTML files, followed by a thorough complilation of "paying" online markets. This is one book that serious freelancers must have if you want to break into the online marketplace.
