Rating: Summary: CD alone is worth the cost ... Review: In preparing for the Security+ exam, I looked at a lot of practice exams before finally picking up this book. I didn't actually read through the book, but rather used the test engine on the included CD-ROM. It's a great value, with over 700 questions, and the test engine lets you configure your practice exams the way you want. They cover all the sections of the exam very well with multiple questions for the more important sections. My only complaint is that the test engine will sometimes mark you incorrect when it shouldn't. This is obviously a program bug, but it can be confusing as to whether the explanation for the correct answer is accurate or not. Aside from this minor annoyance (maybe 5 of the questions total), it was an excellent study aid.

Rating: Summary: A Good Book, but the CD isn't from MeasureUp Review: One of the reviewers has said "The book in itself is Ok, but the CD has practice questions from MeasureUp and they want $89 for their practice exam... So for less that $20 for the book, you get $89 worth of practice exam... Good deal".
I bought the book based on this advice. Unfortunately the CD contains only the questions from the book, and the book clearly states this. The test engine is from MeasureUp, NOT the questions.
The questions in the book are arranged by the objectives, and that helps me memorize the facts. (Yes, you do need to memorize a few things).

Good deal.I did pass the exam with 860/900 and this book (mainly the CD) helped the most (and got the most bang for the buck)... While the engine is not as robust as PrepLogic (which is written in .Net and constantly crashed between tests) or the Boson practice tests... the questions are real close to the exam. There were no perfect books for the test, but this was by far the best money I spent towards studying, which was over $150 in books, practice tests and crams... Your mileage may vary.
