The book has very basic info for those of us in the industry, however it does cover the exam questions (or about 90% of them). This book has very little reference material, so buy it used.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: This book is very well-presented Review: I'd say I really like this book because as a beginner in this field, this makes things easier. I found the book is well-outlined which makes the reader follow the author's trend of thought and keep some of his knowledge. The terms are also presented in such a way that even a beginner can understand. And there are also a handful of hands-on that helps make things gel a little more.

Rating: ![0 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-0-0.gif) Summary: Be part of the new revolution...get iNet+ Certified Review: In 20+ years working in the computer field, I can't remember anything that has revolutionized this business, or the world for that matter, as amazingly as the Internet has. The Internet has not only leveled the business playing field, but the technical profession as well. Even those of us with extensive networking background can find ourselves lost in new concepts, theories, and protocols. Most of the vendor specific certifications have a "+I" option, but they only prove you can implement specific Internet technologies on a specific platform. On the other hand, CompTIA's iNet+ Certification proves that you truly understand Internet technologies regardless of proprietary, vendor specific methods. iNet+ certification is the premier standard for differentiating yourself from the crowd, and the fastest way to obtain respected Internet skill credentials. Whether you're new to the field, or a seasoned pro with limited Internet background, the iNet+ Certification track will give you that valuable "extra". Passing the exam doesn't need to cost you an arm and a leg either. As with Network+, I was closely involved with the definition and objective development phase of the iNet+ exam. Working along with other respected industry experts, our team played a key role in establishing the knowledge foundation the iNet+ exam tests for. My latest book, the "iNet+ Certification Study System", encapsulates all the necessary information you need not only to pass the exam, but to clearly guide you through the inner concepts and methods of Internet technologies. I'll take you step-by-step though the exam objectives showing you *how* the pieces fit together. Regardless of your previous experience, my book takes a no-nonsense approach to providing you with all the details you need to fully understand how the Internet works. My goal was not only to provide a certification study book, but a valuable reference guild you'll want to keep nearby as you master your destiny on the Internet. In addition to the book, I personally compiled a large collection of software contained on the accompanying CD that alone is worth more than the book's cover price. This collection includes Open Source, freeware, and inexpensive shareware to allow you to build a powerful and secure Web server in no time. If you've ever searched for a simple to understand guide to building a Web server at home (or work) including security, name registration, DNS services, and HTML creation, then you'll greatly appreciate what I have compiled for you here. Truly a one-stop reference for everything you need to make your own presence known on the Internet. Have you ever wanted personal and unlimited e-mail? Look no further. Not only do I show you how to set up the server (even over a dial-up connection) but I've included all the necessary software as well! My iNet+ Certification Study System is the perfect resource for anyone new to the Internet, seasoned network pros or those just starting out. This is the single reference source you will need to pass the exam and gain the knowledge needed to add a respected Professional Internet Certification to your resume!

You will need another good Complete book to pass the exam. I took the exam and it only cover 15% of the Exam objectives. It does a good job of explaining terminology.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Good but not good enough Review: The book is good but it won't get you through the Foundation exam by it's self. It was weak on networking and TCP/IP and don't rely on it for the HTML section. It covered Copy Right and security well though. A good starting point but boost it with extra reading
